Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal! |

Shanda
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on March 4, 2006. My name is Shanda. I am a sweet little Maltese girl weighing in at 5 pounds. I am a young 10 years old and I was born on January 15, 1998. I am retired from the breeding world. The other pupsters here are being so very nice to me and I enjoy cuddling up next to them. Also Mom and Dad are being so very patient and loving with me for at times I can be very shy. My greatest discovery is toys and I love them! It would be wonderful if I could find a Forever Mom/Dad that could be home with me 24/7. I also will need a fenced in yard. I am working on my house training and do well during grooming. I am Spayed, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption donation is $275. |

Vanni
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on March 26, 2006. My name is Vanni. I am a beautiful brindle and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 10 pounds and am 13 years old. I was born on June 28, 1994. My breeder turned me over to rescue. I am a very, very shy little girl. I am terrified of strangers and it is going to take me awhile to get accustomed to love and kisses. I am doing fairly well with my Foster Mom and will let her pick me up now and hold me. My main interest in life right now is to lay in a soft cushy bed observing what is going on around me. I am just beginning to investigate the toys. I am very uncomfortable around the other pupsters so would really like a home where I am the one and only. I only have one eye, but Mom says I still am the most beautiful Shih Tzu girl she has ever seen. I am still scared of strangers and can not be placed in a home with small children. I am house trained and do fairly well during grooming. I am Spayed, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption donation is $275. |

Clarissa
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on March 26, 2006. My name is Clarissa. I am a spry, 14 year old, blue and gold sweet little Yorkie girl. I weigh in at a petite 4 pounds. I was born on August 19, 1993. I am a retired breeder. I just plain enjoy life. Love the pupsters, love the soft beds, love Mom and Dad and of course there are those treats. I spend the largest part of my day relaxing and napping. I can see very little, but still manage to get around just fine. I lost all of my teeth when I had my dental, but this does not stop me from enjoying my meals. I prefer no small children and would like a Mom/Dad that could give me laptime 24/7. I am working on my house training and do well during grooming. I am Spayed, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption donation is $275. |

Comet
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on March 26, 2006. My name is Comet. I am a 10 year old, 5 pound, very handsome Maltese boy. I was born on November 18, 1997. I am retired from the breeding world and just waiting for someone to give me my very special home. I am quite the little boy. My tail is always up and once in your arms I love to cuddle. The problem is getting me into your arms. I love to play the game "Catch me if you can", with tail up and wagging I run circles around Mom and Dad. Once I decide it is OK, I sit and hold my little paw up waiting to jump into their arms. I love to romp and play with the other pupsters and discovering and playing with all of the toys is way too much fun. I had this thing called a dental and have no teeth left. I have no problem eating though...love my food. It would be nice to have another pupster to play with in my new home and if Mom and Dad could be home with me all of the time I would love it. I also will need a fenced in yard. I am working on my house training and do well during grooming. I am Neutered, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption donation is $275. |

There are all of these wonderful toys to play with and I love to snuggle up in the soft beds. I am a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you I am yours forever. I would really like a Mom/Dad that could be home with me 24/7 and a fenced area is a must. I am working on house training and do well during grooming. Giselle
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on April 11, 2006. My name is Giselle. I am a very sweet, 13 pound, 11 year old blonde Pekingese girl. I was left at the shelter after I lost my Mom because no one in the family felt they could take care of me. I just enjoy life to the fullest and only ask that I have a lap to sit in, and lots of kisses and cuddles. The other pupsters are so gentle and kind with me for you see I do not have either of my eyes and and am deaf. Mom says I am one smart little cookie. Even though I am sightless and deaf I can find the doggy door, go out and do my business and back in I come. I would love a home where Mom/Dad will be home with me all of the time. I do not ask for much, just your love and kisses. I am house trained, do well during grooming. I am Spayed, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption donation is $275. We appreciate Kakki and Randy Smith of Michigan for lovingly sponsoring Giselle. |

Aspen
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on April 11, 2006. My name is Aspen. I weigh 12 pounds and am a beautiful blonde and white Pekingese girl. I am 8 years old. I ended up in this place called a shelter when I lost my owner. Boy, was that scary, but I am safe now and loved. I am surely enjoying life here. Soft beds, good food and friends to play with. I love to romp and play with the rest of the pupsters and toys are my passion. I enjoy all of the loving I can get from Mom and Dad. I can be a bit bossy sometimes with the other pupsters, but when Mom and Dad talk to me about it I realize that I need to behave myself. I lost my right eye due to glaucoma and am on daily eye medications for my left eye. I would love a home where I had another pupster to keep me company. I am house trained, enjoy going whereever Mom and Dad go and do well with grooming. I am Spayed, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption donation is $275. |

Echo
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on May 3, 2006. My name is Echo. I am a handsome red and white Shih Tzu boy weighing in at 14 pounds. I am 10 years old and I was born on August 13, 1997. I have made quite a few puppies in my day and it is now time for me to just lay back and relax. I am a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than a lap to sit on and lots of love and kisses. I enjoy all of the other pupsters and can keep up with the best of them. I have visited the ophthalmologist because I have cloudiness and pigmentation in my eyes due to decreased tear production. Although I still can see well, I must be on daily eye drops for the rest of my life to prevent impairment or loss of vision. I would love a home with at least one other pupster to play with. I am working on my house training and do well during grooming. I am Neutered, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption donation is $275. We appreciate Vera Rodriguez of California, for lovingly sponsoring Echo. |

Brittany
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on May 28, 2006. My name is Brittany. I am a beautiful, gentle, loving, 10 year old red Shih Tzu girl and weigh 10 pounds. I was born on April 28, 1997. I have nurtured a lot of puppies during my life, but now I am looking for my very own special home. I enjoy all of the activity around me and snuggling with the other pupsters is great. I am still investigating the toy thing, but definitely have all of the plush beds here figured out. I am a bit nervous around strangers, but dearly love Mom or Dad to hold and cuddle me. I had this thing called a dental, but my teeth were so bad that all had to be taken out. This does not slow me down a bit when it is dinner time! I would love a Mom/Dad to cuddle and love me 24/7 for I have missed so much of that in my life. I am working on my house training and do well during grooming. I am Spayed, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption donation is $275. |

My favorite spot is in your lap and I so enjoy being stroked and kissed. I am house trained, love to go for walks and rides and do well during grooming.
