Peke A Tzu Rescue's Available Dogs

Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on June 11, 2006. My name is Annie.
I am a sweet, loving, blonde 13 year old Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 10 pounds.
I was turned over to PATR by my owner because of family problems. I arrived matted to the skin, my eyes were a mess and I had several growths on my body. I am feeling much better now and so very loved.
I love the other pupsters here and snuggle right in next to them for naptimes. I enjoy laying out in the sun and watching the world go by. My favorite spot is in your lap and I so enjoy being stroked and kissed.
I am house trained, love to go for walks and rides and do well during grooming.

I am a handsome 8 yr. old red Pekingese boy with a bit of white here and there. I weigh 12 pounds and was born on December 4, 1998. I am a retired breeder.
I am a very sweet little boy and enjoy everything around me. I am very quiet and am a bit shy, but once I get to know you look out for my sweet Pekey kisses! I get along well with all of the other pupsters and sure enjoy snuggling with them at nap time. I have only one eye, but that does not slow me down a bit. I just know there is someone out here that will give me all the belly rubs I need. A fenced yard is a must and I would prefer no small children.
I am working on house training and do fairly well during grooming.

I am a beautiful 3 yr. old Bichon Frise girl. I was born on July 5, 2004 and weigh 11 pounds. I am a retired breeder.
I get along wonderfully with all of the other pupsters and enjoy cuddling next to them during naptimes. I am an extremely shy little girl and will run from Mom at times. It is going to take me awhile to trust and love, but I know it will happen. I watch all of the other pupsters getting lots of belly rubs and cuddles and it does look like fun. Someday I will know all is well. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me all of the time and a fenced in yard would be great.
I am working on house training and do fairly well during grooming.

I am a 5 year old, caramel and white Shih Tzu boy and weigh 14 pounds. I was born on August 10, 2002. I was having potty accidents in my home so my owners sent me to live with the other pupsters here at PATR.
I am a sweet, loving little boy and my favorite place is your lap. I love belly rubs and kisses. The pupsters here are great and I have so much fun romping and playing with them. I love all of the toys here and snuggling up in a doggy bed with the other pupsters feels so good. At night I just cuddle up to Mom and Dad in bed and think I am in heaven. I will need a fenced in yard and prefer no small children.
I am doing well with my house training, but do wear a belly band at night. I love to go for walks and do well during grooming.

My Mom had some medical issues so I came to stay with the PATR crew until I can find my Forever Home.
I am a sweet little girl and love to be held and cuddled. I enjoy being outside and love to go for walks. I play well with the other pupsters, but can be a bit alpha so being an only dog in the household would be great. I am looking forward to my new home.

I weigh 12 pounds and am a beautiful cream and white Pekingese Chihuahua girl. I am 8 years old.
I was found as a stray and ended up in this place called a shelter. Thank goodness my rescue angels arrived for I would not be here today.
I am a sweet loving little girl who just needs a lap to sit on and lots of belly rubs. I enjoy relaxing in the sun, snuggling in the doggy beds with the other pupsters and of course laying very close to Mom and Dad in bed at night. I would love a home with at least one other dog to keep me company. I would prefer no small children.

I am a petite little Maltese girl weighing in at 6.5 pounds. I am 7 yrs. old and was born on April 7, 2000.
I have retired from the breeding world and can't wait to find my home where I will be loved forever.
I am just beginning to discover toys and the soft beds here are wonderful! I love all of the other pupsters and we have so much fun playing together. I was really shy when I first arrived, but am learning that being held and cuddled is the best feeling in the world. I would love a home with another pupster to keep me company and it would be really nice if Mom/Dad could be home with me all of the time. I will need a fenced in area and prefer that there not be any small children in my new home.
