If you are interested in adopting a Pupster, please review the links below. |
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal! |
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

I am a blonde & white, 2 yr old, 7 lb Havanese girl. I was turned over to PATR because my breeder suspected sight issues. I was born on July 27, 2009. I am a beautiful little girl who loves to be loved. I will need a very special home. You see I have very limited sight. I have a small area in the bottom part of my iris that allows a bit of vision . In order for me to take advantage of this limited vision I have to hold my head straight up in the air so that my eyes will roll up and I can gain access to that area in my iris. Also, if I cannot find Mom I do circles and run back and forth constantly until she lets me know she is near. When picked up I do not like to be held closely and will panic. Mom talks softly to me and I settle into her arms. I do love to play with toys and the other pupsters. I will need a home where Mom/Dad can be with me 24/7. A fenced in yard is a must and no children please. To supply all of the nutrients I need my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet. I am working on house training and need special care during grooming. The tooth fairy visited me in November 2011 when I had my dental.I am spayed, current on vaccinations, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm preventative and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300. We appreciate Jean Iovino of California for lovingly sponsoring Becca in memory of her sweet Noela. |

I am a 12 lb, 6 yr old apricot and white Havanese boy. I was born on October 28, 2005 and have retired from the breeding world. I am a sweet, loving little boy that wants nothing more than a lap to sit on and loving arms around me. I have so much fun with the other pupsters and enjoy playtime to the fullest. I love the toys, the soft beds and all of the kisses I receive. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me and another pupster to play with would be great. I will need a fenced in yard. To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. I am working on house training and do well during grooming. The tooth fairy visited me in December 2009 when I had my dental. I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. I am an adorable 12 lb, 11 yr old, black and white Havanese girl. I was born on November 14, 1999. I am a retired breeder. I am a very quiet little girl who is contented snuggling with the other pupsters or being in Mom or Dad's lap. I leave all the romping and playing for the younger kids, but sure enjoy watching all of the activity around me. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7. Another pupster sister or brother would be great. Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. I am spayed, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. My last bloodwork was done on 12-30-08.
