If you are interested in adopting a Pupster, please review the links below. |
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal! |
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

I am a 8 yr old Maltese girl and weigh 7 lbs. I was born on July 8, 2003. I am a retired breeder. I am a sweet little girl although a bit shy. I have been having fun playing with all of the other pupsters. I love it outside and can keep up with the best of the pupsters when we play "Catch me if you can". I enjoy being held and loved and give soft sweet Maltese kisses. I would love a home with another pupster to play with, a fenced yard to run and romp in and a Mom/Dad that could be with me most of the day. To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet. I am working on house training and do well during grooming. The tooth fairy visited me in March 2011 when I had my dental. I am spayed, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. My last bloodwork was done on 12-15-09. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300. |

I am a happy, loving 6.5 lb, 13 yr old Maltese boy. I was born on February 12, 1999. I am a retired breeder and am enjoying my retirement to the fullest! I love nothing more than being held and cuddled by Mom and Dad. The pupsters here are great and it is so much fun just settling into a warm bed cuddled up next to some of my favorite friends. Playtime is the best and I can romp and run with the best of the kids. I would really like a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7 and a fenced in yard would be great. Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. I am a 5 lb, 12 yr old little Maltese girl. I was born on January 1, 2000. I am a retired breeder and enjoying life here with all of the other pupsters. I am still quite shy, but once in Mom or Dad's arms I cuddle right in. I prefer to spend my day cuddled up in a bed or cubicle and observe all of the happenings around me. I would like a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7 and one other pupster friend would be great. I also will need a fenced in yard. I am a beautiful 10 yr old Maltese girl and weigh 9 lbs. I was born on November 11, 2000. I am a retired breeder. Things are wonderful here and I am enjoying life to the fullest. There is always something exciting happening and I make sure I am right in the middle of it. I try to help Mom whenever she is taking pictures, working on the computer and jump right in for my lovins'. I get along great with the other pupsters and enjoy our playtimes. I just know there is a wonderful home out there for me where I will be loved forever. It would be nice to have a Mom/Dad that could be home with me most of the time, another pupster to play with and a fenced in yard. I am an adorable 6 lb, 12 yr old Maltese boy. I am a retired breeder. I am a very shy little boy and am learning what love and trust are all about. Mom says I will eventually realize that all is wonderful in my world. I enjoy the other pupsters and cuddle close to them during naptimes. I would love a home where Mom/Dad can be home with me 24/7. A fenced yard is a must and no children please. Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. I am 15 yrs old, weigh 8 lbs and am a very loving Maltese girl. I was born on December 12, 1996. I am a retired breeder. I am a bit shy when I meet anyone, but once I feel comfortable I will cuddle right in for belly rubs and snuggles. I enjoy all of the other pupsters and love to join in during playtime. And trust me, I can definitely keep the youngsters under control. I had several mammary tumors that were removed and biopsy results indicated that the tumors are malignant. I will need to be monitored on a weekly basis to check for any additional growths. I am looking forward to my Forever Home where I will be pampered to no end. It would be wonderful if Mom/Dad could be home with me most of the time and I would love a fenced in yard to play in. Because of my health concerns, my diet is extremely important.
