Peke A Tzu Rescue has depended on its' belly band sales since the rescue was formed in 2003.
The belly band sales are the financial core of our rescue.
Because of our love for the seniors and special needs our expenses far exceed many other rescues.

The pupsters and us live modestly for material things are not important in our lives...love is.
We are with the pupsters 24/7 and they are never crated nor kenneled.
We have a used van sitting out in our driveway that is frequently in for repairs.
We converted our two car garage to accommodate an adoption center and quarantine area.
Every winter we are out in the elements clearing the van of snow.
We do not have time to lay by a pool or take vacations for our lives are dedicated to those in our care.

Because prior volunteers have chosen to sell belly bands for personal gain and undercut our prices
our belly band income has decreased immensely.
Within the past days three senior special needs dogs
went to their death because we could not afford to help them.

We realize that America has a free enterprise system and we wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
We trust our active volunteers and feel that their love and devotion to our dogs is as strong as ours.
Thus we share our customer base with those that are involved in donating their time and material in the creation of the belly bands.
We also entrust donated sewing machines to these individuals in hopes that they will be returned to our rescue when a volunteer leaves.

In order to compete in the belly band market at this time we are slashing all of our prices by 40%.
We would hope that those that have purchased from us before will return to us.
We know how difficult the financial situations for all are right now and surely understand why customers have left us to purchase from others.
The quality and fabrics are equal with us and those prior volunteers who have chosen to become belly band retailers.
The difference is that ALL of the monies from our belly band sales go to helping our dogs. There is no personal financial gain.
Let your conscience be your guide as you make your purchasing decisions.
You can help our babies as you have in the past or you can help individuals improve their personal financial situations.

Be well aware that because of this situation and the reduction in our prices
the special needs and senior dogs that many rescues will not help face certain death.

We feel that Belly Bands are a 911 item and you need them NOW!
NOTE: Our Belly Bands in the Specialty Fabrics are not premade. Please allow 5-7 days for completion and shipment.
We ship within the US, to Canada and Internationally.
The velcro on our belly bands is turned lengthwise to allow each belly band to fit a range of waist sizes.
Our rescue friends and petsitters love this feature.
One 911 belly band will fit 4 different waist sizes!

Belly Bands are ideal for any size male dog who is "marking your home", incontinent or needs help with housetraining.
Belly Bands are made of excellent quality 100% cotton material and contain fiberfill inside to aid with liquid absorption.
Peke A Tzu Rescue recommends using half of a ladies incontinent pad inside the band for maximum absorption.
We prefer the moderate size (formerly Extra Plus size) Poise brand pads found at Walmart in the feminine products aisle.
We do NOT use or recommend the "waterproof liners" inside of belly bands because it traps the urine inside the band up against the dog's skin and sheath.
This can burn the skin and stain the dog's hair.
The waterproof barrier will also hold heat in and become uncomfortable for your little boy.
The ladies incontinent pads will pull the urine away from the dog's skin and has a urine odor absorber to keep your baby from smelling like urine.

Our belly bands are machine washable, but remember to close the velcro before placing in the washer.
We also recommend that you stretch the wet belly band, close the velcro and toss the belly band into the dryer.
We recommend ordering two belly bands so that while one belly band is being laundered, the second belly band can be worn.
If you have more than one male dog and are not sure which boy is your "marker," we suggest putting one belly band on each male and frequently check the pad for urine.
This can also give you peace of mind that your male dog is not urinating in the house while unsupervised.

MEASURING YOUR DOG
Measure your male dog around his waist on top of his sheath or tinkle toy.
Allow the measuring tape to just touch him around his waist.
Do not pull the measuring tape too snugly or this will not give you the allowance needed to have the pad inside the belly band.
Using that exact measurement, the belly band will give a snug fit without binding or the belly band scrunching up and sliding.

Select the sizes below based on your measurement.
The extra belly band velcro will allow the belly band to fit a range of sizes which is wonderful for rescue groups or homes with multiple dogs.
Our 911 belly bands come in SEVEN sizes:

Extra Small which fits 8 inch - 10 inch waist

Small which fits 11 inch - 13 inch waist

Medium which fits 14 inch - 16 inch waist

Large which fits 17 inch - 20 inch waist

Extra Large which fits 21 inch - 23 inch waist

Double Extra Large which fits 24 inch - 27 inch waist

Triple Extra Large which fits 28 inch - 31 inch waist

100% of the belly band sales go directly to paying for food and vetting expenses for the foster pupsters in the rescue.
With so many seniors and special needs dogs, we have huge vet bills.
Our volunteers donate all material and labor for the 911 belly band orders and for this reason
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
No Returns or Exchanges due to sanitary reasons & health issues.
