The personalized touch of hand embroidery has not been felt by many since the computerized sewing machines arrived in our lives.
What happened to crocheting, tatting, knitting, embroidery and other crafts that were lovingly made
by someone taking the time to create a piece of art?
We feel by hand embroidering our belly bands there is so much more love going out with each belly band.
Keep in mind that the stitching in each belly band may vary. The images are not stenciled, but hand drawn.
For those of you who have never received a hand embroidered piece from a loved one,
embroidery is like an artist's painting, no brush stroke is always the same.

Completed Orders

We make our Custom Hand Embroidered Belly Bands for boy dogs who are not housetrained or mark your home.
These belly bands are the same style as our 911 Belly Bands, but have to be custom made for your little boy.
Belly Bands are ideal for any size male dog who is "marking your home", incontinent or needs help with housetraining.
Belly Bands are made of excellent quality 100% cotton material and contain fiberfill inside to aid with liquid absorption.

Peke A Tzu Rescue recommends using half of a ladies incontinent pad inside the band for maximum absorption.
We prefer the moderate size (formerly Extra Plus size) Poise brand pads found at Walmart in the feminine products aisle.
We do NOT use or recommend the "waterproof liners" inside of belly bands because it traps
the urine inside the band up against the dog's skin and sheath.
This can burn the skin and stain the dog's hair.
The waterproof barrier will also hold heat in and become uncomfortable for your little boy.
The ladies incontinent pads will pull the urine away from the dog's skin
and has a urine odor absorber to keep your baby from smelling like urine.

We recommend ordering two belly bands so that while one belly band is being laundered, the second belly band can be worn.
If you have more than one male dog and are not sure which boy is your "marker,"
we suggest putting one belly band on each male and frequently check the pad for urine.
This can also give you peace of mind that your male dog is not urinating in the house while unsupervised.

BELLY BAND CARE
To maintain the integrity of the embroidery we advise either using a laundry bag or hand washing.
We also recommend that you stretch the wet belly band, close the velcro and hang to air dry.

MEASURING YOUR DOG
Measure your male dog around his waist on top of his sheath or tinkle toy.
Allow the measuring tape to just touch him around his waist.
Do not pull the measuring tape too snugly or this will not give you
the allowance needed to have the pad inside the belly band.
Using that exact measurement, the belly band will give a snug fit
without binding or the belly band scrunching up and sliding.

SIZES
Select the sizes below based on your measurement.
The extra belly band velcro will allow the belly band to fit a range of sizes
which is wonderful for rescue groups or homes with multiple dogs.

Our Hand Embroidered Belly Bands come in FIVE sizes:

Extra Small which fits 8 inch - 10 inch waist     3 inches wide

Small which fits 11 inch - 13 inch waist              3.5 inches wide

Medium which fits 14 inch - 16 inch waist        4 inches wide

Large which fits 17 inch - 20 inch waist            4 inches wide

Extra Large which fits 21 inch - 23 inch waist    4 inches wide

100% of the belly band sales go directly to paying for food and vetting expenses for the foster pupsters in the rescue.
With so many seniors and special needs dogs, we have huge vet bills.
Our volunteers donate all material and labor for the embroidered belly band orders and for this reason
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
No Returns or Exchanges due to sanitary reasons.

Approximately two hours of love goes into the completion of each Custom Embroidered Belly Band.

All embroidered belly bands are shipped via USPS first class shipping within the continental US from Trufant, MI.
We HIGHLY recommend adding USPS Priority.
The cost is $5.50 and we allow combined shipping for gift shop items purchased within 24 hrs.

We began offering our Hand Embroidered Belly Bands in October of 2011. We are offering seven designs.
We hope to add more designs in the future.
