in Memory of Harvey Boyd  Our current pupster playground surface is only indoor/outdoor carpeting on the ground. This was the most economical way for us to surface the play area to prevent digging, to keep the babies clean and to prevent any flea or tick issues. Because of the more mischievous pupsters, the indoor/outdoor carpeting is no longer an option for they have discovered how to dig holes through the carpeting.  Our current playground measures 32’ x 40’ and we would like to resurface the play area with a permanent material that is easier to sanitize and pupster destruction free.   We are also in need of an additional playground for our teeny tiny, senior and special needs pupsters. While playing, the more active pupsters can bump into or knock down one of the smaller, senior or special needs pupsters. Currently we schedule separate playtimes for the two groups. This playground would measure 20’ x 16’.   Our total fund raising goal is $5,400 for a concrete surface in the playgrounds. If the goal can not be reached, the second alternative would be to install a wood decking surface in the play areas at a cost of $3,650. Harvey Boyd was a dedicated member of our Board of Directors, who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on June 13, 2009 to join our Bridge Babies. He designed & donated water bottle stands as well as helped Jen sew & donate belly bands for the rescue and the gift shop. Harvey enjoyed fostering the seniors, aggressive pupsters & special needs pupsters. We would like to dedicate the Pupster Playground in memory of Harvey. Authentic designer handbags from Prada, Louis Vuitton, Coach and more along with Coach shoes and boots have been generously donated to Peke A Tzu Rescue to raise funds for vetting expenses for our senior and special needs fosters. 100% of the proceeds goes directly to the Pupsters' Food and Vetting expenses. Many critically ill and senior fosters have gone to Rainbow Bridge and were unable to be adopted into a loving family of their own. We are left with huge vet expenses from these precious babies and our financial resources have been depleted. With the current economy, some of our previous donors have chosen to discontinue donations.
