Mopsie's Forever Home Update

Mopsie's
Forever Home
Update

May 26, 2011
Hi Jan,
Mopsie is doing GREAT!!!! She and Don take a walk twice a day. She sleeps with us, usually between Don and me on the pillow - Katey has always liked to be at the foot of the bed, so everyone has claimed a spot that works. She gets up in the morning, goes out and does her business, comes back for breakfast, and settles back down for a nice nap before her morning walk. She follows Don everywhere. At night Katey always wants to go to bed about 8 or 9 - but Mopsie stays up and climbs on the couch with Don and settles in with him until he comes to bed around 11:30. Katey likes the raw diet and we are hoping to get her weight back down to about 13 pounds. She was 15 when we got her and we had her at 13 or a bit under and she looked great. She is a bit over 14 now, but now that she doesn't go "visit" I can control her diet and "treats" myself. We love Mopsie completely and the two are going to be great companions. Katey loves to just watch Mopsie nose around - she is a very busy and helpful girl during the day!!! I think we have found a very good match. Call, stop, or send a note anytime you get lonely and want to know how she is. I will send you pictures and an update next week.

Hi Jan,
Everyday is better than the one before. She loves her twice daily walks and acts like a little puppy exploring everything and loves meeting children along the way. They usually get lots of kisses. We really do love her, who couldn't, and are so happy to have her. Thanks again for this wonderful little thing - I'll keep in touch with you over the next weeks. I know it's very hard to part with a little one that has been part of your life for a long time. .

Hi Jan,
Have been meaning to write to you, but I just don't get things done the way I used to - must be a lot slower or a lot more lazy. Anyway, Mopsie is doing just wonderfully. Right now she is on her second of three walks during the day. She loves to go and they are fast walks; she never walks if she can run. She and Katey are very good buddies now although I think Katey is more interested in Mopsie than the other way around. But then Mopsie has so MANY interests - any open drawer, any pile of laundry, all those very exciting things. We think she is probably one of the nosiest animals we have had. This Thursday they are both going to the vet for grooming. We had Mopsie in shortly after we brought her home just so the vet would have a baseline knowledge of her. They said she's in great shape other than the things you already know. So far her ears are fine. She's a little itchy but so is Katey. So that's the update - will try to send you pictures after they are all pretty from grooming. Not that they aren't beautiful NOW! Thanks for letting us adopt this little doll. We will do our best in caring for her and loving her.
