Zeus's
Forever Home
Update

February 23, 2020
Hi Jan,
We have a couple questions for you and would appreciate any help you can offer. Please go over your technique for portioning the food into daily bags. We've forgotten how you described it to us when we were there. Including how to defrost the large block. Do you have an idea of Zeus's pee schedule? He seems to only go once a day. We are working very hard on house training him and want to give him every chance to go outside. Finally, he seems scared. He shakes a lot. And never makes any noise at all. We are loving him and holding him and petting him, but he still seems nervous. Any suggestions would be great.
Thank you!
Sean and Jen (& Zeus)

Hi Jan!
I want to update you on how things have gone this week. Monday-Wednesday went well. Zeus appeared to be getting more comfortable and come out of his shell. He was being playful and rambunctious! We were all have a great time. He was cooperative going for walks and we had zero accidents inside. And he would follow Jen EVERYWHERE - he really took a liking to her. Then, yesterday into today he is not himself. He has been sleeping more than usual, flat out refuses to go outside and even after I carry him to the sidewalk he refuses to walk. He hasn't peed in two days, although he has pooped at least twice a day. He doesn't seem interested in interacting. I forgot to tell you we brought him to the vet last Saturday to start his care and he had an ear infection (right). We have been giving drops all week. Because he is acting different, Jen was worried and brought him back to the vet. She said his ear looks better and she did an ultrasound of his bladder and said it looked ok and did not express and specific concerns. We love this little guy so much and want him to be happy and healthy. Jen and I hope you and all your lucky rescues are doing well ( and your husband too - can't forget us husbands). Please let us know if you have any suggestions.
Hugs,
Sean, Jen, Zeus

Hi Jan,
Hope you are doing well and staying safe! I wanted to thank you for everything you did for Sean and I to take Zeus home with us. He is such a cutie and I can't imagine life without him. We have kept him on the raw diet and he is nice and spoiled by my mom. Zeus has a bed in practically every room. He is still a bit jumpy with Sean. Zeus seems to still spook easily not sure what to attribute that too.. We do our best to show him so much love. He has been less aggressive with Sean which also is nice. Zeus has been the best addition to our home and we really appreciate all that you do! I attached a few pictures for you. The stick is no hide as I am religious about keeping him on a raw diet. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Take Care,
Jennifer & Sean
