have never paid an adoption fee.

    Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

    Pupster Sponsorships
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.
Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

    Sponsorship Auto Monthly
If you would like to sponsor one of our precious fosters, and would like to have your monthly sponsorship automatically paid via Paypal, please click on the Paypal button below. Many of our Sponsor Parents prefer this option.
If you prefer to pay on a month to month basis please click on the "Sponsor Me" button within each pupster's bio.

Sponsoring one of our pupsters is very fulfilling for you will be able to follow their progress as they heal emotionally and physically, grow to trust and find their Special Home that they so deserve.

Bart reporting in. I am a very handsome 4 year old chocolate and white poodle boy and was born on November 30, 2020. I joined PATR due to kennel down sizing. I am a retired breeder.
I am a nervous little guy and it takes awhile for me to warm up to you. Once I am comfortable I love to be held and loved. I am an alpha boy and am working on my manners in regards to the other pupsters. I am beginning to play with toys and learning what being loved is truly all about. I will need a fenced in yard to romp and play in and prefer no children.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on house training and do well during grooming.
I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on a monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $400.

Through September 2024 the cost to meet my daily needs is $722.00 which includes vetting, food, heartworm medication, flea protection and grooming.

I am a beautiful white and gold, 9 year old, 13 pound Pekingese girl. I was born on October 8, 2015. My Mom had to go into assisted living and could not take me with her.
I am a very sweet, lovable little girl that asks nothing more than a soft lap to lay in, belly rubs and lots of kisses. I do well with all of the other pupsters and love the soft cushy beds and all of the toys. I enjoy riding in the car and do fairly well on leash. I am a happy, healthy little girl. I would love a home with no small children and a fenced in area where I can romp and play. I do have luxating patella...both hind legs.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. I am a beautiful 1 yr old blonde Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 11 lbs and was born on June 7, 2023.
Due to my breeders husband's sudden illness, I joined PATR with 15 of my pupster brothers and sisters. I am part of the “Sweet Sixteen”.
I am a sweet little girl, but am very shy and it will take me a bit to warm up to you. I play well with the other pupsters and enjoy snuggling with them at naptime. I would love a pupster sister or brother to share my life with. I have the cutest way of sitting up and begging. It works well for I get most anything I want! I am looking forward to a home where I will be loved forever. I would like a fenced in yard and prefer no children.

I am an 8 lb, 2 yr old, black Poodle boy. I was born on March 18, 2022. My breeder turned me over to PATR because I have a dislocated hip. After thorough veterinary evaluation and advice, PATR has made a decision not to have any surgery done. More information will be given to any qualified adopter prior to me going into my Forever Home.
I am a sweet little boy who just needs a home where someone will cuddle and love me for the rest of my life. I am quite the little clown and make everyone laugh at my antics. It does take me awhile to warm up to strangers. A pupster sister or brother would be OK, but I would also be contented being the one and only. A fenced in area is a must and no children please.

I am a beautiful black and white, 5 lb Pomeranian girl. I was turned over to PATR by my owner. She unexpectedly had serious health issues and could no longer care for me. I was born on November 18, 2023.
I am a happy, playful, loving little girl. I love to romp and play with the other pupsters and being cuddled is one of my favorite past times. I am full of boundless energy and quite the character. Mom says I am so beautiful now and the boys are drooling over me already….blush. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me most of the time. I love the other pupsters here and will need another pupster playmate with lots of energy. A fenced in yard is a must and no small children please.

I am a sweet 4 yr old gray Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 12 lbs and was born on May 7, 2020.
Due to my breeders husband's sudden illness, I joined PATR with 15 of my pupster brothers and sisters. I am part of the “Sweet Sixteen”.
I am a loving little girl once I get to know you. I am stand offish with strangers and prefer a safe place if approached too quickly. I love attention, but am an independent girl and many times prefer to observe what is happening around me. It is going to take me time to fully trust humans. A fenced in yard is a must and I prefer no children.

I am a beautiful 8 year old Bichon Frise girl. I weigh approximately 12 lbs and was born on February 14, 2016. I am a retired breeder.
I am an energetic and busy little girl. I love toys and all of the pupsters here. Once I get to know you, I love lap time and snuggle right in. I love to play with the other pupsters and snuggling at naptime is the best. I am really talented at walking around on my back feet and asking for lots of attention. I would be happy with another pupster to snuggle with but would also do well as the one and only. A fenced in yard to romp and play in is a must. No children please.

I am a sweet gray Shih Tzu girl searching for my Forever home. I weigh 13 lbs and am 5 years old. I was born on October 9, 2019. I am a retired breeder
I know I'm a cutie, but please don't pick me just for my good looks. I have a sensitive personality and may get overwhelmed in new situations and a lot of activity going on around me, so I will do best in a home without young children or a large family. I am an alpha girl and would do best with a pupster brother or I would be contented to be the one and only. Once I'm comfortable I love to explore my surroundings. Please be sure you have the time and energy to have daily play time with me. After wearing me out, we can snuggle on the couch and talk about our day! A fenced in yard is a must.
