have never paid an adoption fee.

    Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

    Pupster Sponsorships
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.
Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

    Sponsorship Auto Monthly
If you would like to sponsor one of our precious fosters, and would like to have your monthly sponsorship automatically paid via Paypal, please click on the Paypal button below. Many of our Sponsor Parents prefer this option.
If you prefer to pay on a month to month basis please click on the "Sponsor Me" button within each pupster's bio.

Sponsoring one of our pupsters is very fulfilling for you will be able to follow their progress as they heal emotionally and physically, grow to trust and find their Special Home that they so deserve.

I am a beautiful 8 lb, 5 yr old chocolate Shih Tzu girl. I was born on May 31, 2013.
I joined PATR due to kennel downsizing by my breeder.
Can you even handle how ridiculously cute I am?? I know I can barely stand it myself!! I'm a loving, spunky little girl ready to find my forever family. Do you think you can handle seeing this cuteness everyday?? I know you will keep me in your life for the rest of mine! I thrive with lots and lots of hugs and kisses. Though I am so loving I still have a few problems. I was very frightened when I first arrived and have overcome most of that fear, but I still will pee a bit when approached too quickly. I will need a home that is very quiet and someone who has lots of patience. I have a difficult time bonding with more than one person. The pupsters here are great and I love playing with all of the toys. If you've been looking for a pupster friend to join your family then I am the pupster for you! Unfortunately, I'm not going to be a good fit for a family with children or a family that has grand children visiting often. I would love another pupster sister or brother to play with, but would also be contented to be the one and only. I would love a fenced in yard to romp and play in and a Mom/Dad who can be home with me most of the time.
Because my diet is extremely important Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on house training and do well during grooming.
I am spayed, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on a monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.
We appreciate Marsha Booker of Indiana for lovingly sponsoring Kisses.

I am a way too cute, 5 yr old, 10 lb red and white Shih Tzu girl. I was born on August 8, 2013. I am a retired breeder.
I am a very, very sweet little girl. I love lots of attention and Mom's lap is my favorite place to be. I love the other pupsters here and playtime is the best. Hope you are ready to share your bed and your couch with me! I promise I will love you forever and hope you will take me into your heart and home. It would be nice to have another pupster to play with, but I would also be content to be the one and only. I will need a fenced in yard to romp and play in. I prefer no small children.
