    "Money cannot buy you happiness",
have never paid an adoption fee.

    Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

    Pupster Sponsorships
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.
Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

    Sponsorship Auto Monthly
If you would like to sponsor one of our precious fosters, and would like to have your monthly sponsorship automatically paid via Paypal, please click on the Paypal button below. Many of our Sponsor Parents prefer this option.
If you prefer to pay on a month to month basis please click on the "Sponsor Me" button within each pupster's bio.

Sponsoring one of our pupsters is very fulfilling for you will be able to follow their progress as they heal emotionally and physically, grow to trust and find their Special Home that they so deserve.

I am a 3 yr old, 11 lb, very handsome gold and white Shih Tzu boy. I was born on August 24, 2016. My breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note in her kennel requesting that I join the PATR pupsters.
If you want a lap buddy I am the one for you! There is nothing better than being cuddled and loved on. I get along great with all of the other pupsters and love playtime. I enjoy the toys and love to snuggle with Mom and Dad at night. I am a bit shy when meeting people and still a bit unsure of myself at times. I will need a fenced in yard to romp and play in and no children please.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on house training and do well during grooming.
I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on a monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.
We appreciate Vera Rodriguez of California, for lovingly sponsoring Basil.

I am a very sweet 1 yr old blue and white Shih Tzu boy. I weigh 9 lbs and was born on December 28, 2018. I joined PATR because I had a cleft lip. A cleft lip, sometimes referred to as a harelip, is an opening in the upper lip that can extend into the base of the nostril. The surgery for the cleft lip would be for cosmetic reasons only. Foster Mom and our veterinarian made a decision not to have surgery for many times it is not successful. So my little tooth sticks up and my nose is crooked. Also due to the recessive blue genes my coat is very thin.
I am a very energetic and busy little boy. Foster Mom said God was very generous with the energized bunnies when he created me...wonder what that means? Oh I know, maybe it has something to do with me dragging the rag rugs out of the bathroom or possibly it is relative to me pulling the other pupster's tails whenever within reach. Geez, I just can't help myself..a pupster has to have something to do you know. I enjoy all of the other pupsters and join right in with the Shih Tzu Blitz. I love to be held and cuddled. At night I snuggle right into Mom and love to have her wrap her arms around me and hold me tight. I would like a home with another pupster to play with who has LOTS of energy and a fenced in yard to romp and play in. No children please.

I am a very sweet red and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 10 lbs and am 6 yrs old. I was born on December 22, 2013. My breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note in her kennel requesting that I join the PATR pupsters.
I am a very energetic and busy little girl. Mom said God was very generous with the energized bunnies when he created me...wonder what that means? Oh I know, maybe it has something to do with me dragging the beds from room to room or possibly it is relative to me taking belly bands off the boys. Geez, I just can't help myself..a pupster has to have something to do you know. I enjoy all of the other pupsters and join right in with the Shih Tzu Blitz. I love to be held and cuddled. I am a very sweet 2 yr old silver and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 12 lbs and was born on August 23, 2017. My breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note in her kennel requesting that I join the PATR pupsters.
Can you even handle just how adorable my face is?? I know I can barely stand it myself! I'm a sweet and spunky pupster and I LOVE to play! I'm an active girl so please make sure you can keep up with me! Maybe we could be hiking or running buddies?! I'm super people oriented and I adore getting attention so I hope you don't mind sharing some of your space like on the couch or in bed! I'm still a young pupster so make sure you are ready to help me learn my doggy skills. I love the other pupsters here so a brother or sister to play with would be great. I do need a fenced in yard to romp and play in and prefer no small children.

I am a handsome gold and black 9 yr old Yorkshire Terrier boy. I was born on July 1, 2010 and I weigh 7 lbs. I am quite the character.
I was very happy in my home and my Mom and Dad took very good care of me. Unfortunately my Dad got very, very sick and Mom did not have the time to care for me anymore for she needed to give all of her attention to Dad who needed her so. I am a very outgoing little boy and your lap is my favorite spot. I love to cover you with my slurpy kisses. Foster Mom calls me her little clown. I bounce around on my back feet and give you the biggest smile with my pearly white teeth. I love romping and playing with the other pupsters and get along great with all. I would love a home with another pupster, but would also do great being the one and only. Please consider giving me a loving home. A fenced in yard is a must and I prefer no small children.

I am an adorable 4 yr old gold and black Shih Tzu boy. I was born on July 6, 2015 and have retired from the breeding world due to a grade 4 heart murmur. I am not in need of any medications at this time.
I'm ten pounds of love and have a huge heart and super goofy personality! Once we are buddies, I am full of play, snuggles, and kisses. A calm home (without small children) would be best for me. I absolutely love to do happy runs around and then get right in your lap. I'm happy playing, running along side another dog my size, or will also play on my own. I enjoy snuggling with the other pupsters, but my most favorite place is in your lap. I can't wait to find my special home and would love a nice big fenced in yard to romp and play in.

I am a very sweet 7 yr old liver and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 11 lbs and was born on August 31, 2012. My breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note in her kennel requesting that I join the PATR pupsters.
I'm a wiggly playful girl ready to brighten up your world! I'm tons of fun, and will do best in a home with another pupster to play with. Get ready to give me lots of exercise and things to do since I have an active play style. I'm a happy-go-lucky pupster and I love getting attention from people once I get to know them. Do you have time for an active best buddy like me? I'm a ton of fun! I will need a fenced in yard and no children please.

I weigh 11 lbs and am a 4 yr old handsome, energetic chocolate Shih Tzu boy. I was born on August 20, 2015. I am a retired breeder.
I am a bit unsure of myself at times, but once I get to know you get ready for a soft, fuzzy, loving little boy snuggled close in your lap. I have so much fun with the pupsters here and really enjoy being cuddled and held. My Mom says I have the most beautiful eyes that make her heart melt every time I look at her. I would love a home with another pupster to play with and a fenced in yard is a must. No children please. Can't wait to meet my Mom and Dad!
