    "Money cannot buy you happiness",
have never paid an adoption fee.

    Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

    Pupster Sponsorships
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.
Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

    Sponsorship Auto Monthly
If you would like to sponsor one of our precious fosters, and would like to have your monthly sponsorship automatically paid via Paypal, please click on the Paypal button below. Many of our Sponsor Parents prefer this option.
If you prefer to pay on a month to month basis please click on the "Sponsor Me" button within each pupster's bio.

Sponsoring one of our pupsters is very fulfilling for you will be able to follow their progress as they heal emotionally and physically, grow to trust and find their Special Home that they so deserve.

I am a beautiful dark red and white 10 yr old Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 12 lbs and was born on June 20, 2010. I am a retired breeder.
I was a bit shy when I arrived, but am doing much better now. I love all of the other pupsters and it is so much fun to have sisters and brothers to play with. I am definitely enjoying all of the soft beds and toys. I love to be held and cuddled and am ready to share your bed with you. I would do well with another pupster, but would also be contented to be the one and only. I would like a nice fenced in yard and prefer no children.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on house training and do well during grooming.
I am spayed, current on vaccinations and on a monthly heartworm prevention and natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.00
We appreciate Nita Andrews of Florida for lovingly sponsoring Arianne.

I am a 3 yr old, 11 lb, very handsome gold and white Shih Tzu boy. I was born on August 24, 2016. My breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note in her kennel requesting that I join the PATR pupsters.
If you want a lap buddy I am the one for you! There is nothing better than being cuddled and loved on. I get along great with all of the other pupsters and love playtime. I enjoy the toys and love to snuggle with Mom and Dad at night. I am a bit shy when meeting people and still a bit unsure of myself at times. I will need a fenced in yard to romp and play in and no children please.

I am a very handsome 3 yr old, blonde and white Shih Tzu boy. I weigh 11 lbs and was born on January 7, 2017. My breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note in her kennel requesting that I join the PATR pupsters.
I am a very sweet and gentle little boy. I am a very active little boy and like lots of exercise. I get along great with the other pupsters and it would be nice to have another pupster brother or sister to play with, but I would also do OK if I were the one and only. I do love my cuddles and laps are the greatest! I just want to be with you as much as possible. A home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7 would be great and a fenced in yard is a must. I prefer a home with no children.

I am a very sweet 8 yr old red and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 9 lbs and was born on February 4, 2012. I am a retired breeder.
I am absolutely adorable and just love to be loved. I am packed full of energy and love to romp and play with the rest of the pupsters. At night I just love to cuddle close to Mom and Dad..their pillows are my favorite place. I do have weepy eyes so need daily eye cleaning and drops. I was diagnosed with a Grade 2 Systolic Heart Murmur in March of 2017. I would love a home with another pupster to play with and I will need a fenced in yard. No children please.

I am a sweet gold and white Shih Tzu girl searching for my Forever home. I weigh 11 lbs and am 7 years old. I was born on May 1, 2013. My breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note in her kennel requesting that I join the PATR pupsters.
I know I'm a cutie, but please don't pick me just for my good looks. I have a sensitive personality and may get overwhelmed in new situations and a lot of activity going on around me, so I will do best in a home without young children or a large family. I respond really well to praise, so this will help us bond, and it will boost my confidence. I enjoy romping and playing with my pupster friends here, but would also be happy to be the one and only. Once I'm comfortable I love to explore my surroundings. Please be sure you have the time and energy to have daily walks and play time. After wearing me out, we can snuggle on the couch and talk about our day!

I am a beautiful 10 yr old blonde and white Pekingese girl. I weigh 14 lbs and was born on November 10, 2009
My Mom and Dad had adopted me about five years ago at one of the free adoption events. They took very good care of me, but could no longer afford my care cost and were also expecting a baby.
I am a sweet little girl and love to be held and cuddled. I enjoy being outside and love to go for walks. I play well with the other pupsters, but can be a bit alpha on occasion. I am such a happy little girl and I am in love with my little ducky. Carrying my ducky around in my mouth gives me more confidence and I chatter away while carrying him. I am looking forward to a home where I will be loved forever. I would like a fenced in yard and prefer no children.

I am a sweet, lovable gold and black 12 yr old Yorkshire Terrier girl. I was born on September 1, 2007 and I weigh 8 lbs. I am quite the Diva.
I was very happy in my home and my Mom and Dad took very good care of me. Unfortunately my Dad got very, very sick and Mom did not have the time to care for me anymore for she needed to give all of her attention to Dad who needed her so. I am such a sweet baby just full of love. I want nothing more than to be held and cuddled. I do not interact much with the other pupsters. I am more of an observer. I would love a home where I could be the one and only, but would be OK with another non alpha pupster. Please consider giving me a loving home. A fenced in yard is a must and I prefer no small children.

Are you ready to love me forever?? Well keep reading because I might just be the pupster for you! I am a 10 lb, 10 yr old red and white Shih Tzu boy. I have retired from the breeding world. I was born on June 20, 2010.
I know my new family will keep me safe and in their lives for the rest of mine! I am a very nervous little boy and it takes me time to get comfortable with strangers. I do have healed ulcers on both eyes so my sight is a bit impaired. I am looking for a home where my Mom and Dad will have lots of patience for it may take some time for me to realize that all is well in my world. All I have known my whole life is a kennel so all of this freedom is new to me. I would be very contented being the one and only or having a non alpha playmate. I am not going to be a good fit for a family with small children. I will need a fenced in yard to run and play in and am really looking forward to meeting my very own Mom/Dad.

I am a very energetic and busy little girl. Mom said God was very generous with the energized bunnies when he created me...wonder what that means? Oh I know, maybe it has something to do with me dragging the beds from room to room or possibly it is relative to me taking belly bands off the boys. Geez, I just can't help myself..a pupster has to have something to do you know. I enjoy all of the other pupsters and join right in with the Shih Tzu Blitz. I love to be held and cuddled. I would like a home with another pupster to play with and a fenced in yard to romp and play in. No children please. .

I'm an active girl so please make sure you can keep up with me! Maybe we could be hiking or running buddies?! I'm super people oriented and I adore getting attention so I hope you don't mind sharing some of your space like on the couch or in bed! I'm still a young pupster so make sure you are ready to help me learn my doggy skills. I love the other pupsters here so a brother or sister to play with would be great. I am an adorable 4 yr old gold and black Shih Tzu boy. I was born on July 6, 2015 and have retired from the breeding world due to a grade 4 heart murmur. I am not in need of any medications at this time.
I'm ten pounds of love and have a huge heart and super goofy personality! Once we are buddies, I am full of play, snuggles, and kisses. A calm home (without small children) would be best for me. I absolutely love to do happy runs around and then get right in your lap. I'm happy playing, running along side another dog my size, or will also play on my own. I enjoy snuggling with the other pupsters, but my most favorite place is in your lap. I can't wait to find my special home and would love a nice big fenced in yard to romp and play in.
