"Money cannot buy you happiness",
have never paid an adoption fee.
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.
Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

I am a very cute 13 lb, 1 yr old tri colored Shih Tzu boy. I was born on August 30, 2016. I had been with my family with three children and one on the way since I was a puppy. I was having potty issues. They worked with me on this, but I just could not get past it and my Mom and Dad felt it would be better for me to join the PATR crew. I am now doing great with the house breaking and as long as I am taken out on the same schedule I do my duties.
Please click on Bailee's Video Clip to see me in action!
I am a sweet loving little boy and am busy, busy, busy. I require lots of exercise and attention. I do well with the other pupsters and enjoy romping and playing with all. Give me a toy and I am in heaven and please be ready to share your couch and bed with me. It would be nice to have a pupster to play with, but I would also be contented being the one and only. A fenced in yard is a must and no small children please.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am house trained and do well during grooming.
I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heartworm negative, on a monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.
We appreciate Miranda Sanchez of Michigan for lovingly sponsoring Bailee.
