If you are interested in adopting a Pupster, please review the links below. |
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal! |
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

Chessie
I am a very sweet 9 yr old chocolate 6 lb Pomeranian girl. I was born on May 20, 2002 and am a retired breeder. I am an absolutely adorable little girl...anyway that is what Mom and Dad tell me. I am quite shy when I first meet people, but once I get to know them I settle right in for lots of hugs and kisses. I love to dole out my special kisses and laptime is the best. I get along wonderfully with the other pupsters and enjoy cuddling close to my foster sisters and brothers for naps. Of course at night my favorite spot is Mom's pillow. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me most of the time. Another pupster to play with would be great. I will need a fenced in yard and prefer no children. Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet. I am working on my house training and do well during grooming. The tooth fairy visited me in February 2011 when I had my dental. I am spayed, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. My last bloodwork was done in February 2011. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300. We appreciate Jean Iovino of Illinois, for lovingly sponsoring Chessie. |

Skittles
I am a very cute liver and white 5 lb Shih Tzu boy. I was born on January 9, 2011. I was turned over to PATR by a breeder due to eye issues. I am a happy, playful little boy full of lots of energy. I am always on the go and am very curious about everything around me. I love the other pupsters and can do the Shih Tzu Blitz better than anyone! I love to be held and cuddled, but am a bit independent at times. When I arrived my eyes floated outward and I could not see well. As I have grown my eyes have improved although I still have sight issues when viewing something straight ahead of me. I am on daily eyedrops. I hope Mom/Dad can be home with me most of the time. A fenced in yard is a must and no children please. To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now.
