Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal! |
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day. ![]() Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

I am a beautiful chocolate/liver, 9 lb Shih Tzu girl. I was turned over to PATR by breeder due to being too small for breeding. I was born on June 20, 2021. I am a happy, playful, loving little girl. I love to romp and play with the other pupsters and being cuddled is one of my favorite past times. I am full of boundless energy and quite the character. Mom says I am so beautiful now and the boys are drooling over me already….blush. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me most of the time. I love the other pupsters here and will need another pupster playmate with lots of energy. A fenced in yard is a must and no small children please. To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet. I am working on house training and do well during grooming. I am spayed, current on vaccinations, on a monthly heartworm prevention and natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $800.00 and I am proud due to my youth to be able to help some of my older brothers and sisters through my adoption fee. |

I am a handsome approximately 6 yr old, 5 lb, brown and white Chihuahua boy. I was found as a stray, was malnourished and infested with fleas. I am now at a good weight, flea free, happy and ready for my home. I am a sweet, gentle little boy and am a bit shy. I do love my laptime and cuddles and give very soft feathery kisses. The other pupsters are great with me, but I prefer to just observe them as they play. I am a bit nervous when meeting people, but if you pick me up and hold me close I will tuck my head into your neck for lots of back rubs. I will need a home with dogs close to my size. I am looking forward to finding my special home where I will be loved forever. I would like a fenced in yard and no children please. To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. I am a handsome red and white, approximately 8 yr old, 14 pound Pekingese boy. Myself and several others were removed from our home because of abuse. I could barely walk, my skin was embedded with fleas and my coat was matted. I am doing so well now and am walking well. I am a very sweet, lovable little boy that asks nothing more than a soft lap to lay in, belly rubs and lots of kisses. I do fairly well with all of the other pupsters, but can be a bit alpha at times. I love the soft cushy beds and all of the toys. I enjoy riding in the car and do fairly well on leash. I would love a home with no small children and a fenced in area where I can romp and play. To maintain my excellent health, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health.
