We thought all of you out there would like to see what happens here in our home so we decided we would pop in on occasion and let you know what we are doing. Some days it is just the same old routine, but other times we have a lot of excitement. We hope you enjoy hearing about our activities and seeing a few pictures. The majority of the time you will see us happy, healthy and well groomed, but there is a significant cost involved to get each of us to this point which can be viewed at Foster Vetting Costs.

We would like to open this month with lots of cuddles and kisses. The babies you see smooching on Dad are part of the Collins Crew. They are lavishing Dad with their love. This is something you see many times during the course of the day here. We all take our turns with Dad. Of course all of you adopters now know why you may have adopted some babies that were table sitters. The word is now out.. you all know who the culprit really is… our Dad who we adore beyond measure.

Woo Hoo! More butt pictures. We guys are lovin’ this. Now Fantasia is showing off her stuff in the bed Auntie Ruth won in the photo contest. Hope Auntie Ruth doesn’t know what she has been up to. She called and said she was a bit jealous and knew her butt was prettier than Tiki’s butt. She may have a point! And then Shaylei got into the act and decided that the inside of the bed wasn’t quite cushy enough, but if you jump on the top it feeeeels so good. Women pupsters…they are so fickle!

Hey Mom, did you know Dad is actually outside gardening? You know that has always been your job. He is putting this weird red stuff around all of the plants. Actually it looks kind of neat. Chipper here and Elizabeth have been having fun watching him sweat. What we would like to know is how you talked him into this one? Oh, for pupsters sake get that silly grin off from your face, we are sorry we even asked!
August 4, 2007
Well, we are seriously making plans for our pupster jail break. This is getting totally out of control. A pupster can’t even go where ever they want anymore. Geez, no more getting under Dad’s feet when he is cooking(notice Mom’s name is not associated with the word cook) and the list goes on. We do not agree with having time constraints put on us as to when and where we can run around. You know, it’s just like people jail where you only have so much time in the exercise yard. This is about to come to an end and we plan on holding Mom as hostage until our demands are met.

Uh Mom, Mitch here doesn’t mean to be a pupster tale, but unfortunately someone peed on the futon again. Thank goodness this blanket was still here so that I could escape the dampness. You really need to have a long talk with the perpetrator of this deed. Now I don’t want to expose this pupster directly, but I can tell you that she has a very long tongue. There I didn’t mention any names so the other guys can’t accuse me of ratting on anyone. Best get some clean sheets and start the washer!
August 6, 2007
Hey Mom! You were right, this weird plant only blooms when it starts getting dark. Hey, you didn’t see me sneak out this evening to check it out did you? Shilo came along to take the picture. Hope he put the camera back exactly where he found it. Annie here thought all would like another lesson in nature. This plant is called a Moon Plant and these beautiful white blossoms only appear as it starts getting dark. The flower is nearly as big as my head. Pretty amazing! So much beauty surrounds us…life is good!

OK, we are having another wrestling match today. The bets have been placed and the bout is almost ready to begin. We had to wait until Mom was out of the room for you know how she feels about us betting on anything. Clint, Haden and Anastasia are the wrestling contestants for this bout. They are just getting warmed up. If what we are seeing is any indication of the outcome, anyone who bet on Anastasia best get ready to admit defeat.

You know these beds keep showing up all over the place! It is kind of like the fishy beds, but they swam from place to place. We pupsters are trying to figure out how these doggy beds are getting spread all over the U.S. Now, at least Sophie, formerly known to many as Henna, knows which end is supposed to be out unlike some of the other pupster girls. Of course the guy pupsters were a bit disappointed at seeing the front end of Sophie instead of the butt end. Men pupsters…sometimes they are so disgusting!
August 9, 2007
Hey Paris….eat your heart out!!! The pupster beds have arrived and we all love them! Your Mom did a great job. They are all soft, cushy and pupster compatible. Of course Mom’s main thing is washability…heck, we have no idea what that may be about. All we know is that we will be cuddling in comfort. Shilo did say that he agreed about the pink bed and the girls could definitely have first dibs on that one, but after that it would be first come first serve!
August 10, 2007
Well, would you look at this. We have a new watering hole! OK, you need to understand that expression…Mom was raised on a farm you know. Anyway, we had large water bowls before and many of us would splash the water all over and some would feel they needed a quick bath to freshen up a bit. Of course we have our water bottle stands too, but some of us use them and some don’t. Anyway, this is working out wonderfully for all with the exception of the bathers and splashers!
August 11, 2007
This picture is not crystal clear, but all of us pupsters know that you will definitely understand what has happened here. Our “Miss Deery” obviously neglected to invite us to her wedding for she seems to have a few additions in her life. We hope that her hubby is kind, gentle and loving. We haven’t seen him yet, but guess that he is really handsome for the babies are striking! From afar we think we have a girl and a boy, but without Dad’s binoculars we can’t be sure if you know what we mean.
August 12, 2007
Peeka here, just kind of hanging out, enjoying the scenery outside and waiting patiently for Dad to appear or the Postman, UPS or Federal Express truck. Then I can give the alarm and the fun will begin. Not saying that I would even begin to cause any commotion. Well, will have to admit that I love seeing Mom scrambling to quiet everyone down, especially if she is on the telephone. You know I have to have something to occupy my time!
August 13, 2007
Wow, another birthday! This has got to mean cake…chocolate is preferred with extra frosting please. We want to wish Auntie Carol the best birthday ever and hope that she remembers our soft kisses when she visited us the last time. Now, we need to determine age here for it seems that everyone continues to be 29. Some may think we haven’t caught on to this yet, but we are much more perceptive than many may think!
August 14, 2007
Today was a very, very sad day for all of us. Morgan here with brother Rafferty. I asked Mom to take a special picture today for my brother left us for the Rainbow Bridge. He could not walk anymore. His prior back injuries finally caught up with his little body. We tried everything for him from acupuncture to other therapies to no avail. I have been with him constantly for the past weeks as he has struggled to improve with no results. He and I talked long into the night and we both knew it was time to say goodbye. I just wished I could have healed my little brother so that we could continue to be together, but I do know that he will be waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
August 15, 2007
Mommmmmm, come quick! What is this thing? It keeps popping its’ head out and then disappears once again. Do you think it is something that snuck into some of Dad’s diving gear without him noticing? I think it must have something to do with water, for it keeps trying to head towards the pool area. Have no fear though. Heath is on guard and will protect the household from this alien intruder.
August 16, 2007
Clint….come on, please don’t be so sad. Mom is calling us for treats…don’t you want any? We know you miss Haden, but remember what Mom and Dad tell us. This is a stopping off point where we get healthy and whole before going on to our Forever Homes. You know Haden is going to be very, very happy and he promised that he would call and email you. Why don’t you just come into the house with the rest of us and we can play a game of catch me if you can. We’ll even let you win and that should make you feel so much better.
August 17, 2007
I know Dazzle here is new to the pupster crew and I really do not want to complain for everyone is being so good to me. BUT, is there any way that you could find some toys that are a bit smaller please? I can barely get this toy into my mouth and I really need to save my energy for better things you know. Like begging for treats, vocalizing when I do not get enough attention and jumping into laps whenever I get the chance. Maybe Auntie Jen has something a bit smaller she could send me. I’ll have to give her a ring when Mom isn’t looking.
[Yes, sweet Dazzle, I have a house full of tiny toys just for YOU, here in Florida! Love, Auntie Jen]
August 18, 2007
Hey Ritzy, do you see Mom anywhere? I can hear her calling and know that tone in her voice when she says “Elizabeth you had better come see me right now!” Please don’t let her know I am here. You see I was very naughty a bit ago and she is looking for me. If she finds me I am in for a really big time out! If you protect my hiding place I will give you all of my treats for a month and you know how very important those are to me.
August 19, 2007
OK everyone, listen up! If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to get this bone away from me there is going to be big trouble! I may be little, but I am fierce! What do you pupsters mean…where are the rest of the bones? Are you inferring that Rolo here has been stashing them on the futon? No way, I wouldn’t do anything like that. How could I possibly get more than one in my mouth at a time anyway. All of you just keep your distance if you know what is good for you.
August 20, 2007
Hey Clint ‘ol buddy, how’s it going? Thought I would touch base with you and let you know my Dad and I sure do have a good time barbecuing. By the way I am now known as Sebby (short for Sebastian) in case you couldn’t tell. What do you think of my new apparel? Actually I am just pacifying my Dad by wearing this hat so wipe that silly grin off your face….yep, don’t have to see you to know it is there…talk to you later!
August 21, 2007
Boy, I sure do enjoy my quiet time. Geez, I have the ramp all to myself for a change. No youngsters ramming up and down. Not that Adelle here doesn’t enjoy the activity, but sometimes it does get a little ridiculous. Thought I would just saunter out here by myself while everyone is taking their morning nap. Going to stretch out in the sun, stare up at the sky and watch the clouds. Hopefully I will get at least a half hour of quiet time in before the action begins once again.
August 22, 2007
You know there is nothing better than a little snuggle time and all of us enjoy each other’s company so. Each of us have our very favorite “snuggle buddy” as we call them. Aspen and Vanni have liked each other from the day they met. So whenever it is time for bed they curl up next to each other and talk about silly girl things before going to sleep. We guys try to eavesdrop, but they are always whispering too low for us to hear. Probably nothing we’d be interested in anyway.

Dear Diary,
I woke up to the sun shining and the birds singing. I tried to make it out the door to potty, but this funny grass here tickles my feet, so I peed in the house. Alas, Mom did not have a belly band on me, but there soon was. Let’s see, then I tried to steal Pilar’s food…that didn’t go over very big. Oh, and then Mom started singing again and for some reason she sings off key. She also keeps calling me Heath Bar! Madonna was cranky again today and wouldn’t share her bed and Bobo tried to boss Petey around. Well time to sign off, lock you up and hide the key. Hope Mom doesn’t try to pick the lock again.

Viva here checking in for the first time. I haven’t made my debut on the website yet for I haven’t been here long enough. I had to go through 10 days in quarantine first which was really rather plush...got spoiled to the max. Now I am getting used to my new surroundings. Mom and Dad have a pretty neat program for us newcomers in our gated community. We are introduced slowly and given our space to do as we would like. I am very shy and frighten easily so sometimes hide under Dad’s Nascar Display case. Wellll, I discovered all of these fuzzy, soft toys so decided they might as well join me also. As Mom says one step at a time. Love surrounds me and one day I will be begging for belly rubs and cuddles.
August 25, 2007
Oh My! Today was a wonderful day! We finally got to meet Auntie Ruth. You know we have known her from afar for over two years and emailed and talked to her. She adopted some of our sisters and also fosters our Fantasia and Shaylei. It felt so good to give her hugs and kisses. Her friend Anne was kind enough to drive her here. Anne’s Mom and her daughter Katrina came along too and they were so very nice. We were on our best behavior and made sure that everyone got plenty of slurpy kisses. We are a bit jealous though for Twila got to go home with Auntie Ruth. Well, guess we are going to have to rent a bus again and go visiting. We hope Auntie Ruth and her friends enjoyed their visit as much as we enjoyed seeing them.
August 26, 2007
Hey, what the heck is that staring back at me? Got here to Auntie Ruths and there are all kinds of strange things to explore, new pupsters to meet, new beds to check out and some really neat toys. But Twila here is confused over this one. There is this really weird dog looking back at me and whenever I move a certain way so does it. Guess I’d best call Auntie Ruth in here and tell her she has a pupster living in her curio cabinet. She probably doesn’t even realize it.
August 27, 2007
You know we never tire of our special visitors. Auntie Marg was so kind and made one last trip to see us before traveling back to Florida. Geez, she brought us all kinds of food….yum, yum. You know our tummies are always waiting for that. We gave her lots and lots of loving to make sure that it would last through the winter. A few of us tried to talk her into wintering in Florida, but no go on that. We would have loved to spend time with Tiki and Tulip. Oh well, you don’t know until you try!
August 28, 2007
Actually Mom, “The Rockman” had no intention of tearing up the paper towels….what would even make you think that? Actually I am just a little irritated with you right now. Somehow, I took a little nap and once again woke up with no hair! So thus the need for the paper towels. I am using them to stay warm. You should really be ashamed of yourself, sneaking up on a guy when he cannot defend himself. You had better watch yourself for the next few days because I sharpened my pearly whites just for you.
August 29, 2007
Hey everyone….come quick! Mom left the dish washer open again for she had to make a quick dash to the bathroom. Maybe there are some tidbits left in here somewhere. If anyone wants to join Dora here in the search you are more than welcome. Dylan, hope you are keeping a sharp outlook for Mom, just bark once and I’ll know we’d better scatter. Noodles, I recognize that look and don’t you dare try to shove me in the dishwasher and close the door!
August 30, 2007
OK, is it safe for me to come out yet? Once again, I just could not resist wading in the water dishes. Mom keeps telling me “Holly, the water is to drink, not to wade in and I am really getting tired of cleaning up floods in the living room.” What can I say? I just can’t resist it. Geez, you would think Mom would be glad that I am so concerned about my personal hygiene. I have a sneaky suspicion that I am going to be getting a rather lengthy time out for this has been my third wading episode today.
August 31, 2007
We will close our month with thoughts and prayers for our Madonna. She traveled to the Rainbow Bridge today to join all of our other sweet friends. Madonna arrived, could barely walk and her tail dragged behind her. She had been dumped at a shelter. With acupuncture, herbs and excellent holistic care our little girl was able to walk once again with tail held high. She enjoyed life to the fullest while with us and we took no greater joy than seeing the happiness in her eyes. We shall surely miss our little girl, but know that she is now pain free and enjoying life to the fullest. Are you enjoying your pot roast sweetie?
