We thought all of you out there would like to see what happens here in our home so we decided we would pop in on occasion and let you know what we are doing. Some days it is just the same old routine, but other times we have a lot of excitement. We hope you enjoy hearing about our activities and seeing a few pictures. The majority of the time you will see us happy, healthy and well groomed, but there is a significant cost involved to get each of us to this point which can be viewed at Foster Vetting Costs.

You know how they say blondes have more fun???? Well Keegan and Chelsea here are listening to Demi’s advice. She says a little bleach will take care of the problem. We are getting tired of being red heads soooo, we will be attending Demi’s Beauty Salon tomorrow to get our makeover. She even said she would throw in a manicure and pedicure. Hope no one has any serious applications in for us because this is going to be a complete makeover. We are even going to get contacts to change the color of our eyes.

Viva reporting in. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing well, eating like a little piggy and enjoying life. I loved it when Mom changed the furniture around. You see we have this little corner in the living room where we plug the humidifier in and there were some babies that wouldn’t leave the plug alone so Mom moved a file cabinet over to cover it and now I have this wonderful little corner to relax in. Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts.

Well, the ice and snow still has not left us, but we wanted to let anyone who may live in the south know that we can still sunbathe! Julian and Macy showing all of you southerners (not mentioning any names) know that Michigan sun is still the best no matter what the temperatures may be. At least we do not need to run out and cover up palm trees, and fruit trees when the temperatures drop.

Alright Mom….Kelsey needs to file a complaint. Was not this cubby hole designated to the Pekeys after Clint went to his Forever Home??? Look what is going on now? I have to share with Kiwi who tries to take up 65 percent of the space. AND she doesn’t even know how to properly make usage of the space. She crawls in facing to the back, doesn’t lay over on her back with face out so thus her view is from behind..YUK!

All of us pupsters ask you to keep our Unkie Harvey in your prayers. He went through another round of chemo for his leukemia and is not feeling well at all. He was hoping to stay home with Auntie Jen after this last round of chemo, but his temperatures went up and he had to go back in the hospital. He is weak, disoriented and needs all of us so much.

Yesterday our sweet Perry left us to spend the night with Auntie Floellen and then go on an airplane adventure to meet his new Mom in Louisiana. It was a tearful goodbye. Perry loved belly rubs, gave the greatest kisses ever and won the hearts of all he met. We know he is going to be very, very happy and his Mom promised that she would send pictures and let us know how he was doing. Bet he hates that warm weather…like right!

Alright everyone, get your treats out! Dolan and Miles have begun their wrestling match. Shilo as usual is keeping an eye out for Mom so that she doesn’t stop the match before it is finished. Right now Dolan has Miles in a leg hold…don’t know if Miles will be able to get up before the count or not. Boy, this is one of the most exciting matches we have had yet. Might end up being a tie you never know. Boy, that would be disappointing…no one would get all of the treats!

We think Benson has a screw loose. Mom has this stone she had made a long time ago with some of us pupsters painted on it. Benson has taken it over as his own private pillow. Now, aren’t pillows supposed to be soft and fluffy, conform to your head and all of that good stuff? Wait a minute, Benson can be kind of hard headed sometimes….must be why the stone conforms to his needs. Don’t let him know we told you that though.

Hi Mom! No, I am not holding Grady down! I have been researching all kinds of techniques on the internet and am doing touch therapy for him. Now Barry here isn’t trying to say anything bad about Grady, but he surely does need a bit of therapy to start slowing him down a bit. I figured if I started in the area of the brain that might be the way to go. So, I am massaging his head in hopes of reaching the inner workings of his brain to see if we can correct his need to always be movin’ and groovin’.

Anastasia left us a short time ago and she sent us this picture of her with her brothers. It just made our hearts feel so good to see her resting peacefully beside Rocky and Nicholas. This is what it is all about and makes it worth every tear we shed when we say goodbye to one of our friends. Anastasia has captured the hearts of her Mom and Dad just as we knew she would.

You know things just do not get any better than this. Lots of good food, plenty of toys to play with, lots of belly rubs, kisses and friends to cuddle with. Claire here making my first debut in the foster journal. I am a bit shy so it took awhile before I would allow Mom to take a picture for the journal. I truly am enjoying life and settling in nicely. I am looking forward to finding my special home, but for now I am so contented and happy…can you tell?
March 12, 2008
Hey Mom! Look, look we are at the window! Please tell us you are just going to get the mail. We can’t stand to be away from you for more than a few minutes. Delcey and Barney are particularly needy you know. Panic is setting in here…you’d best look up at us and assure us with a nod that you will only be gone a few minutes. Whew, you saw us and gave us that special nod so we know you will be back in a minute to hold and cuddle us once again.
March 13, 2008
Boredom has totally set in. The weather is warming up a bit, but we had so much snow and ice our play area is a bit flooded. So we only have a very small area to play in right now. Trenton and Shane bought a dance CD on the internet and are taking lessons on how to dance just to occupy their time and release some of their energy. The rest of us pupsters are just sitting back and observing….we’ll see how this turns out. At this point Fred Astaire they are not!

You are not going to believe this! Today a package arrived and Mom told me that it was actually addressed to Sydney Collins. She asked if I would like to open it up, but because I can’t see I thought it would be best for her to do that for me. When the contents spilled forth I couldn’t believe it! Auntie Sandy had brought some toys for us when she visited and one is my very favorite. When I felt the contents of the box I knew I had hit the toy bonanza. Several of my favorite toys all for just me! I will never run out. I can shake and chew and know that there will be another waiting for me. I love you Auntie Sandy!

Today was Briana’s big day. Her Mom, Dad, sister and pupster sister’s Zoey and Chloe arrived to spend time with her before journeying back home. Briana was quite nervous, but we all told her she was going to a wonderful home where she would be so loved. And just think she wouldn’t have to share with so many. We guys thought Zoey and Chloe were reallllly pretty and wouldn’t have minded at all had we been the chosen one. Her Mom, Dad and sister held her close and it was love at first sight. Although we are going to miss romping and playing with our Briana, we know she has such a wonderful life ahead of her.

You know our Annie is getting up there in years, but she loves all of us. Her favorite thing to do for us is bathe us lovingly with her soft tongue. Now, although we thoroughly enjoy this personalized attention it surely does make our coats just a bit messy and sticky and comb outs are the pits. But, hey you do what you gotta do when you love someone as much as we love our sweet Annie. She is very special to us.
March 17, 2008
We pupsters are here to tell you that the gated community thing has now gone just a bit too far! We now do not have access to the hallway that leads to the bedroom where Dad has his computer and TV. Now you tell us if this was a legitimate reason for us to be banned from the hallway. Mom says that too many of us were congregating in the hallway and she was afraid that some of us might get a bit testy with another so she is protecting us. We say “Pooh on that!” We are definitely going to file a complaint on this decision. Grady and Jake are responsible for getting a petition started.

What a sad, but wonderful day we had today for our Willow is finally “Home”. For those of you who have met Willow and been blessed with her loving kisses, you know how much we are going to miss her. Willow’s owner had dropped Willow off for euthanization because she was wetting on furniture. Willow filled our lives with such joy and kept our faces very clean! Tears of joy mixed with a bit of sadness were in abundance here today.
March 19, 2008
Mom, I am telling you Konrad did it! Look, he is even trying to hide behind me so you can’t put him in time out. Elizabeth here would never consider being a bit pushy with any of the other pupsters, but you know Konrad sometimes gets a bit out of hand. From the look in your eyes we both have a feeling this is not getting us anywhere, so go ahead, do what ya gotta do…we’re tough…we can handle any punishment you dole out!
March 20, 2008
OK Dad, I have been practicing and practicing this after watching you. Do you think I have this right? Harlan here is having one heck of a time hitting the holes in the lattice though and I know I am not holding my paws just right. The other pupsters have been giving me a lot of input also for they have been observing you when you weren’t looking. Will have to say relieving myself in this manner is very challenging, but I’ll get it right eventually!
March 21, 2008
Geez, Sienna, you don’t need to scream in my ear…I am getting the point! I understand we are counting down the days until you go to your Forever Home. All of us pupsters realize that we only have a few days to snuggle and play with you. But, I think you are being a bit demanding in your final requests. Come on, give me a break…I am not going to give you all of my treats and I am not going to give up all of my laptime with Mom either. Now, present some reasonable requests to Caviar here and I will oblige.
March 22, 2008
Ho Hum, first it’s rain, then it’s snow, then it’s sleet and then it gets really windy. Moxie here has just about had it with Michigan weather! I am getting soooooo bored! You know you can only watch so much TV, read so many pupster books and play so many games. I just can’t wait until the sun begins to shine and I can stretch out and enjoy the rays. I love being outside watching the birds, trying to catch a few bees flying by and gazing up into the sky. I hope there is a Weather Fairy and she will wave her magic wand pretty soon!
March 23, 2008
We enjoyed our Easter together today. Dad was up early getting the ham ready…notice we said Dad…Mom’s allergic to the kitchen. The aromas coming from the oven smelled so good even though we knew we could not have any of the ham, but looked forward to the carrots and green beans. We also had an Easter Egg hunt which was quite the sight to see. Some of the pupsters get a bit greedy you know and they knew that each plastic Easter Egg held a special doggy treat. We all held each other close today and hope all of you had a very blessed Easter.
March 24, 2008
Every day Dad starts this weird machine up and it eats carrots, apples, beets, parsley, and other stuff and then the machine throws it all up into a glass that Dad tells us is juice that is very, very good for he and Mom. We sure don’t think the juice looks that good…it is kind of yucky colored and we turn our backs when Mom and Dad chug a lug. We prefer the veggies raw thank you. We take turns helping Dad and today was Champagne’s turn.
March 25, 2008
Well, there seems to be an obsession developing here. First it was Benson, and now Peeka is taking her afternoon nap snuggled close to this hard surface. We asked Mom about it and with tears in her eyes she told us that our Rolex who is the baby everyone surrounds on the rock is sending warmth and comfort from the Rainbow Bridge to all. She was here for all of us and continues to be here in spirit for all that are in need. She is continuing her mission and letting those of us that are unsure of life know that we will always be safe and loved.
March 26, 2008
Yet another day of tears and happiness for one of our friends. Our sweet Sienna’s family arrived today to meet and hold her in their arms for the first time. You know Mom always talks to all of us who are preparing to go to our Forever Homes. She tells us what a wonderful life we have ahead of us with our family. We listen carefully and we know because she loves us so much that she would never let us go unless she knew we were going to be loved forever. When we pupsters saw this picture of Sienna we knew in our hearts that she will truly be loved beyond measure.
March 27, 2008
And again, we said our special goodbyes to our Jenna. Wow, two days in a row is much more than we pupsters really like to handle. BUT, we know that Jenna is going to a wonderful home with Auntie Floellen and Unkie Dan. You see they have welcomed two of our other sisters into their home and we know there is not a better place for our sister Jenna. We are going to miss Mom saying “Jenna, get away from that poop”, or “Jenna we share the beds here.” But what we are going to miss the most is Jenna’s sweet kisses and happy tail.

Kiwi reporting in on the ongoing dance lessons that Trenton and Shane are taking. Things are not going well as you can see in the background. These boys definitely do not know what coordination is all about, They step on each others paws, they have no idea how to hold each other properly and the list goes on. I will have to give them credit for persevering though. Well, we’ll see…maybe a month down the road they will be gracefully waltzing across the deck.
March 29, 2008
Harvey is here to tell you that this tongue thing is much easier than it looks. After Willow left I figured someone needed to take her place. Well, gotta admit she had a talent all of her own. No matter what I do, my tongue will not stretch up to my eyes. I have been exercising it every day…looking in the mirror and practicing. No luck so far. Do any of you know if they do a tongue lengthening surgery of any kind? If so please let me know for this has become an obsession!
March 30, 2008
Our little Keegan left us today to join his new family. Keegan was the first Brussels Griffon we pupsters had ever met and he was quite the guy let us tell you. At first we thought he looked a bit funny, but as we got to know him we fell in love with him. He was the best snuggler ever and he had Mom and Dad wrapped right around his little paws. Of course when he first met us, the look in his eyes said…soooo, what are you? His new sisters and brothers all look like him! Geez, we thought he was an original.
March 31, 2008
We pupsters are closing the month with a special plea. Does not the normal gated community only have one gate? Well we are here to tell you Mom and Dad are out of control now. Grady will be our pupsterspokesperson as we file a petition for gated community malpractice. Please write your congressmen and senators to let them know there is a serious situation brewing here. We are preparing our petition and will send out a link to all for signature….this has got to stop!
