Peke A Tzu Rescue
Foster Journal

We thought all of you out there would like to see what happens here in our home so we decided we would pop in on occasion and let you know what we are doing. Some days it is just the same old routine, but other times we have a lot of excitement.
Each night as we settle down and climb into bed we gather close and say a prayer for all of the pupsters that are in need.

We hope you enjoy hearing about our activities and seeing a few pictures. The majority of the time you will see us happy, healthy and well groomed, but there is a significant cost involved to get each of us to this point which can be viewed at Foster Vetting Costs..
If you would like to help with our vetting costs please let all know about our Magazine Fundraiser

Welcome to March everyone!! Spring is just around the corner…anyway we certainly hope it is. It surely will be good to see the birds again and a little green grass would be great. We hope you enjoy your time with us this month and we promise to be very, very good!!

We are here to tell you that the inside of Mom's work shoes are absolutely disgusting! Have you ever smelled the inside of your shoes? You should try it sometime and you all will think twice about plugging your noses when you smell other odors. In particular Mom had better not ever tell us again how much our poop smells…she needs to take a whiff of her own shoes!

Let’s see, we pupsters counted how many large beds we have in the house and we have 16. Now you would think that Devas would choose something more his size, but no, he insists on taking one of our little beds. We think he does it purposely for he’ll lay in the bed with one eye open guarding the bed. We are going to have to talk to Mom about this. She needs to put Devas in his right place and that is the bigger beds.

You know Becca is such a sweet little girl and we love her dearly. She cannot see and she thinks a bit differently than we do, but we sure enjoy her crazy antics. She grabs a toy and away she goes head held high. Just try to get it from her for she isn't into sharing. She fills our lives with joy with her crazy antics and lovable disposition.

Whoopi here. Hey, today I decided I would count how many Pommy twirls I did. It is absolutely amazing!! I average at least 21 each time I decide to do my thing. So, I performed my twirls five times today. I believe that would be 105 twirls. I think I set a record. Maybe they should add Pommy Twirls to the Olympics. It is quite a feat you know!

Hi Everyone,
Candice reporting in from my Forever Home. One of my most favorite places to curl up is on Mom's jacket if she forgets to hang it up. I just feel so much better if I have something of hers near me. I am doing great and taking good care of my older brothers. They are getting up there you know and need lots of Mothering. I sure do miss all of you and think of you often. Pupster hugs to everyone!

I am listening to every word you are saying Mom. Shana here did not nor would I ever consider deliberately tripping Santo when he was headed out the doggy door. You know how clumsy he is at times. What do you mean there are witnesses? Well, surely you will take my word over theirs for I would never tell an untruth. What do you mean my halo is slipping?

March 8, 2014

Hey, any of you ever played "Queen on the Pekie"? Well you all really need to try it some time. Samona and Chica here have an absolute blast playing and Pepper just goes along with us. He is so cool!!!

March 9, 2014

Hey Auntie Jan and Unkie Bruce. Paris reporting in. Hey, it has been awhile…did you miss this handsome face? I cannot believe it has been 8 years since I found my wonderful home. Of course I don't want to rub it in, but it sure is nice to live in Florida!!! Pupster hugs to all.

March 10, 2014

We'll tell you what…it has been a lonnnnnng winter. The sun has been really scarce all winter and we pupsters surely have missed it. Today we all were following the sun as it moved through the house. It just feels so good to stretch out for our naps and feel that wonderful warmth on our bodies.

March 11, 2014

Oh goodie, goodie, goodie! Another surprise box arrived for us today. You know we pupsters LOVE surprises. Wow, there is so much here we do not even know where to begin. We are having a bit of a discussion over all of the goodies, but as usual Mom was there to supervise and remind us that we need to share.

March 12, 2014

So what are you looking at? Rabbits like carrots so what’s wrong with Godiva here nibbling on one. Oh, you pupsters are used to seeing them cut up. Well, Dad accidentally dropped one while he was making juice and I happened to be in the right spot at the right time. I don’t think he even noticed. So, anyone wanna play Bugs Bunny with me?

March 13, 2014

We look forward to days like today. Mom was busy making us our home made treats. Nothing from the store shelves for us! She wants to make sure she knows exactly what is in anything we put in our tummies. Anyway, you know how all of you like to lick the bit of frosting that's left in the bowl? Well, we get to lick that last little bit of the treat mix from the bowl. We of course have to draw straws and Grason won the draw and boy, is he ever enjoying himself!

March 14, 2014

Oh Boy, does this spell trouble! Dad is at it again..he is sharing his bagel with us pupsters. Now, he is smart…he waited until Mom was in the shower. Thing is she seems to have a second sense about things like this and ten to one she will know what Dad and we pupsters have been up to. Of course we know it is probably the crumbs on our whiskers. Dad needs to wipe us off…you would think he would catch on eventually.

March 15, 2014

Give it up Mom!! I know you keep telling me we need some good pictures so I can start looking for my home, but Raven here is not going to cooperate. Geez, putting me in the sink? You really thought that was going to work? My eyes are nearly bugging out of my head!!!! Let's skip the pictures and you can just let everyone know I am very, very cute!

March 18, 2014

Whew, what a day! Tacker here is exhausted. First Mom made all of us get up at the break of dawn. Then she sent us outside to go potty….brrrrr! Next thing on her list was to help clean any potty accidents up and mop the floor. Then we had to fill the mop buckets and put fresh water in all of the water bottles. She then directed us toward the laundry room where we had to fold a load of clothes and gather up the first load of the day to put in the washer. You would think doing poop patrol would be enough, but oh no, she needs to add more chores. We have some busy days ahead of us for some of our Foster Sisters and Brothers will be leaving us so everything has to be perfect you know. We pupsters have discussed this and are going to form a Pupster Union to protect our rights because we feel our treat rewards are not anywhere sufficient for what is being asked of us.

March 22, 2014

Well, today was really an emotional day. We got up early and prepared Dempsey and Derek for their meeting with their new families. We all spent extra special time with each of them as the goodbyes drew near. Derek's Mom arrived this morning and she was immediately in love with him. Geez, he wouldn't quit kissing her…traitor. We surely enjoyed her visit and as Derek and his Mom left we all had tears in our eyes, but they were happy tears!

Then after we had our afternoon meal Dempsey's Mom and Dad arrived. What a wonderful time we had introducing ourselves to them and we surely enjoyed their stay. Dempsey did really well and shared some of his special kisses in no time at all. Another difficult goodbye. But in the end we know that both Derek and Dempsey have found the best homes they could possibly of dreamed of for Mom and Dad make sure of that.
We miss you guys!!!!!

And here we go again!!! Whoopi met her Mom and Dad today and so did all of us. Wow, they had quite the drive all the way from Canada. We thought her Mom and Dad were really cool and enjoyed all of the attention they showered on us. Doodles was a bit obnoxious butt slapping all of us, but Mom put her in her place.

Whoopi was doing Pommy twirls and wasn't quite sure about all of this, but in the end she was snuggling her Mom and Dad. We are a bit jealous to tell you the truth…we wouldn't mind living in Canada!!

March 26, 2014

Goalie reporting in from California. Hey, Grammy and Grampy I am here to tell you that I have the very best Dad ever! He does anything I want and I have him wrapped right around my little paws. I just love to cuddle close to him. Keep in mind all of you pupsters..he is mine..all mine!!

March 28, 2014

Well, another big day for us today. Our sweet Orchid met her Mom and Dad. They were both in love the minute they set eyes on her.

Of course Orchid told us before they arrived that all she would have to do is lower her eyelashes a bit then look up at them with her big brown eyes and they would melt. Geez, she is so darn conceited! But she was right. We enjoyed visiting with Auntie Vicki and Unkie Doug (we adopted them you know) and look forward to hearing from Orchid as she settles in to her Forever Home.

March 30, 2014

Today we had a meet and greet with Flutter's Mom and Auntie. They came to visit and brought Piper to meet Flutter before making a final decision. Piper's Mom wanted to make sure that Flutter would be a good companion for Piper. Precious was her normal self during the visit rolling all over the floor. She always has to show off!

Well, it didn't take Flutter long to introduce herself to Piper and we are sure they are going to be best of friends. Piper's Mom just couldn't resist Flutter and she will be going to her Forever Home in a few weeks after she has had her Pre Adopt Vet Appointment and her dental.

March 31, 2014
