We thought all of you out there would like to see what happens here in our home so we decided we would pop in on occasion and let you know what we are doing. Some days it is just the same old routine, but other times we have a lot of excitement. We hope you enjoy hearing about our activities and seeing a few pictures. The majority of the time you will see us happy, healthy and well groomed, but there is a significant cost involved to get each of us to this point which can be viewed at Foster Vetting Costs.

We open our month with super Birthday Wishes for our Auntie Jen and Unkie Keith. Now. we pupsters really get confused about age, but we’ll stick with 29 again! In calculating we feel we may have to bump this by about 10 years pretty soon! Well, we all drew straws once again to see who would be the lucky Birthday Poster Pupster and Morgan won! Not putting Morgan down or anything, but he can be a bit egotistical…thinks he is the handsomest Pekey around! Now, to get down to the nitty gritty…is there any cake left?????

We all get to take turns helping Mom weed the flower gardens and water all of the plants. It was Clarissa’s turn today. You know she is getting up there in years, but still enjoys helping. When she gets tired, Clarissa just lets Mom know and is totally contented sitting in one of the flower pots and observing. Of course we tried to tell her that Marigolds would not be our flower preference…we have lots of choices. Clarissa seems to prefer the warmer colors and we defer to her preferences.

Well, Dad is at it once again. Trying to get the quarantine/grooming area completed. We take turns going out to visit him. It was Sydney’s turn today. Dad will stop whatever he is doing to give us our lovins’. We dearly love his sweet kisses and he has no problem letting us slurp all over him. We wish all of you could meet him, for he is the most loving, kindest person we have ever met. We all turn ourselves inside and out whenever we set eyes on him!

Well, ‘tis just the two of us against the world! Wait, I think Kelsey is wedged back in here somewhere. Mom didn’t know that her computer desk would become a focal point in our lives. So, what do you think Rolo? Clint here is observing the world below us and seeing what possible mischief we can get into. Not saying that we would ever do anything wrong of course.
September 5, 2007
Geez, here we go with another Nature Course. Somehow we have to get Mom and Dad interested in other things. Hey Heath….look at what we found? Ritzy is seriously checking out this little bitty baby snapping turtle that Dad found just outside our back door. Of course Ritzy has no idea what this turtle will really grow into. She definitely would not have a nose left once it is full grown! Of course we could always enroll this baby into our Rehabilitation Program for biters.

This is so disgusting! Sydney has Mom wrapped right around his little paws. Look at the look on her face(what you can see of it), you’d think she was in heaven. You see today was the beginning of Sydney’s grooming and he has a very difficult time being groomed..he has a terrible fear of being hurt. He is particularly sensitive around his face so Mom sometimes has to take 2 to 3 days to fully groom him. We think he takes full advantage of this for he stands up and wraps his paws right around Mom and she melts. Now, if we did that she would tell us to sit still and behave.
September 7, 2007
Wow, Auntie Jeanine came to visit us today and we were so very, very happy to see her! Mom should have warned her…get on the floor and it becomes a free for all! You know, free to kiss, free to lick, free to jump, free to nip ears lovingly, free to pull hair and the list goes on. We definitely let her know that we enjoyed her company. Typically, we got the same old lecture from Mom about behaving ourselves. We think we did pretty well…can’t you all see the halos hanging over our heads?

No Mom, this particular leaf on this plant is mutated in some way. This leaf just did not grow up properly or possibly there is some kind of parasite in the house nibbling on the leaves. I can not believe that you would think I would even touch such a beautiful plant. You know Jewel here is the epitome of innocence. I would NEVER even consider disturbing the beauty of nature. And besides, I definitely prefer meat in my diet…a vegetarian I am not.
September 9, 2007
Oh for pupsters sake Mom, I am just sitting here on the table enjoying the view outside. What did you say??? Oh, something about birds….what birds??? OK, will have to admit that I had noticed them. Actually I had been trying to teach them how to howl. Alright, so maybe Arpel here was considering wind velocity, distance for jumping, landing availability and the outcome of my mission. Geez, caught in the act again. So you win paws down…how much time out do I need to serve?

You hear humans complain about this and that and I always wonder why. You know life is good no matter what. Giselle here cannot hear nor see, but life is wonderful. I approach every day with a positive outlook and enjoy life to the fullest. I can walk, I can feel the wind caressing my body, the scents in the air are so soothing, I enjoy my belly rubs, I love the feel of soft beds beneath my body and I thank God every day for I am surrounded by love. Not giving any lectures here, but I really think that we should sit back and evaluate what is truly important in life.
September 11, 2007
Well, here I am doing my daily dental regimen per Mom and Dad’s request….or should I say orders. Chewing on my dental dinosaur…this is the way we brush our teeth, brush our teeth so early in the morning…has your Mom ever sang that song to you??? Actually Kia thinks that Auntie Jen’s suggestion of raw chicken wings sounds much more appetizing and appealing. Think I will add that to Dad’s grocery list(yep, I said Dad…Mom is allergic to grocery stores).
September 12, 2007
OK, Mom, Bubbles and Calla here are scoping it out. We know the pee pee perpetrator is here among us somewhere! I know you are a bit upset for this will be the third time today that you have had to change the bedding on the futon. We agree that something definitely needs to be done about this. Our biggest concern is that you keep threatening to remove the futon and we would be lost without it you know. So, have no fear we will figure this out and report into you with the results. Of course you have to know neither of our names will be on the list!
September 13, 2007
OK, we are open for bets! Mom is temporarily unavailable to check on us so let the wrestling match begin! Noodles and Shilo are definitely getting into the competition big time. Noodles may have the upper paw right now, but do not underestimate Shilo. He may be older than Noodles, but he always comes up with some wrestling techniques that are truly amazing. We so enjoy these wrestling matches and cheer our favorite on! Sad part is that we cannot go the full rounds for you never know when Mom will show up!
September 14, 2007
Caprice reporting in to let everyone know that we dearly love out little brass beds, but unfortunately our cushy leopard cover with skirts has been discarded. Why, some of you may ask? Well, I am here to tell you that the skirts were way too tempting for some of the boys…you know the macho thing they have with lifting their legs? We girls don’t quite understand the concept, but Mom has had enough. Thank goodness for Auntie Kim and her soft beds she has been making and sending to us. Laying on bare springs would have really been the pupster pits!
September 15, 2007
Wow, Mom is taking her plant’s lives into her own hands by leaving this on the deck and getting side tracked with poop patrol. Let’s see, love you, love you not, love you, love you not, love you love you not…man, this could go on forever! Oh wait, are you supposed to do this with four leaf clovers? Heck, we don’t really know. All we know is that we will remove every petal in the time allotted. Mom had better hurry back soon for the plant will be bare!
September 16, 2007
Alright Calla, so what are you trying to tell me? So big deal that Kia feels a bit left out and is pouting. You know Willow here, does not really care about that. OK, so I am a bit self centered, what is your point? Oh sure, you have been listening to Mom again. I suppose she told you that she is enrolling me in some Pupster Classes concentrating on learning to share and be kind with the other pupsters. AND, she has this huge Pupster Seminar that she wants me to attend…has something to do with peeing on furniture. You know she never gives up!

Shawnee and Peeka here requesting some special time with Mom and Dad. We know that none of us are to get too attached to each other, nor have any serious relationships for our hearts may be broken when we say goodbye to those that leave for their Forever Homes. BUT, in this case we are hoping Mom and Dad will make an exception. Maybe our age differences may be a concern, but geez, aren’t we a perfect match?
September 18, 2007
Hi all! Jenkins here reporting in. Today, I had to have my left eye removed. You see, when I arrived I had issues with this eye and Mom and Dad have done everything within their power to save my eye. With all of the vetting care and eye care it just wasn’t meant to be. As each day progressed I became more and more uncomfortable. Cosmetics are not an issue with us pupsters nor Mom and Dad. Free of pain is our main concern. I am feeling so much better and asked Mom and Dad if I could maybe have a special black eye patch like some of the pirates, but they said that was a no go!
September 19, 2007
Wow, what a day we had today! Auntie Lesley came to visit us and brought along Auntie Barb who came all the way from New Mexico. She particularly fell in love with our Maltese Melanie. And then Elvis, our itty bitty Yorkie, made his big entrance and jumped right into Auntie Lesley’s arms. We had such a wonderful time today and got so many kisses and cuddles we cannot even begin to count them. As usual we were on our very best behavior.
September 20, 2007
Mom’s camera took a poop (putting it in language that will not get us in trouble). We were wondering why we have not had our photos taken lately. Cousin Spencer came to the rescue literally. He had been given a digital camera, with docking station and photo printing capabilities for his 11th birthday. He knew that the Pupsters needed a new camera and generously gave us his birthday present! Mom was in tears and cannot even begin to thank Spencer enough. Felicity was so kind to model our new photo equipment.
September 21, 2007
Mom and Dad would you just pay attention to what I am trying to tell you? Lilly here is really getting aggravated. I am beginning to think that both of you have a hearing disability. OK, so maybe I am a bit verbal and needy. Mom said something about applying some techniques from the Dog Whisperer whatever that might mean. I have a feeling that I am heading towards some major pupster overhaul here.
September 22, 2007
OK, just back off would you? Let me play with this toy for the last time please without any interruption. I have watched and watched others leave and I surely know that the big sign is bathing, grooming and the harness goes on in preparation to meeting the Forever Parents. Clint here has really thought he had escaped that big day and had Mom and Dad wrapped right around my little paws. I gave it my best by avoiding all visitors, playing shy guy and thought I had it made. And then along came someone I couldn’t fool. So I am off to my Forever Home today to be reunited with my buddy Sebastian.
September 23, 2007
You know there is nothing better than snuggling close, relaxing and having wonderful dreams. We know you will surely enjoy Babsey and Elvis loving the closeness that all of us enjoy so much. Every single day of our lives are filled with kisses, cuddles and belly rubs. We do give Mom and Dad a break of course and that is what you are seeing here. As a last resort when Mom and Dad are busy, we snuggle into our soft beds and dream away!
September 24, 2007
I absolutely hate these serious laundry days. Every day Mom picks up most of the beds to wash them. But once a week like clockwork she really gets serious and the floors are bare. Then we just have to figure out how to get comfortable until she has completed her mission. Kelsey here feels that this is rather unfair for I never soil any of the beds, but trust me there are those pupsters that do not even think twice about tinkling on whatever is available.
September 25, 2007
Now, look at this. Doesn’t this look like Sherman here is behind bars? Someone needs to talk to Mom and Dad about all of these barriers that are being put in our way. Guys like me would never even consider jumping on the slider screen so why do we have to be punished because some of the pupsters(not mentioning any names for the list is lengthy) can be shall I say a bit naughty? Guess we special needs and senior pupsters need to have a meeting to get this straightened out with Mom and Dad.
September 26, 2007
OK, back to the bed issue. Twila here wants to let everyone know that I did not instigate smashing the bed down like this. Sister Prancie seems to be a bit confused on the proper use of doggy house beds and I was just following her lead. Being the innocent, prim little poodle girl that I am, it would never occur to me to do anything like this. Now, hopefully Mom will not negate any of my statements based on prior behavior.
September 27, 2007
Hey Mom and Dad! Come and look quick…I think there is a plane surveying our house. We need to get prepared for the Pekey snatchers you know. Chantelle here heard through the Pupster Intelligence Service that there have been secret plans being drawn up and the Pekey Snatchers may be coming in under the cover of darkness. We have our protective gear out, have been collecting poopy and making special poopy balls for our poopy cannon. Wait until they get hit in the face with our kind of ammo! Bet they will retreat so fast we won’t even be able to distinguish them from a blur.
September 28, 2007
All right already Satin! I get the message. So Rolo here was maybe playing just a bit too rough? Geez, all I was doing was grabbing your tail, dive bombing you from the back and nipping at your feet a bit. You don’t need to get so verbal with me..my hearing is fine. See, I am in the submissive mode and I promise to never, never go against your wishes again. Now, if you believe that you will believe anything.
September 29, 2007
Oh man…I certainly hope no one can see me in this ridiculous tuxedo. Now, I know that I agreed to participate in this wedding, but wasn’t aware that I had to dress up! Someone forgot to give me those minor details. I know the dress code was “Simply Elegant” and felt just being me was elegant enough. I know every pupster out here is snickering behind their paws at Sebastian here. Don’t you worry, there will come a time when all of you will have to play dress up for Mom and Dad for something!
September 30, 2007
We again close our month with lots and lots of love. Jetta and Echo are showing everyone what true love, companionship and closeness are all about. They share their beds, they share their toys and they share their love with everyone that surrounds them. We pupsters all feel so blessed to be a part of Echo and Jetta’s lives. Of course Jetta is extra special because she cannot see us, but she surely can feel the special love that surrounds her. And then Echo shares his wisdom because he is older than some of us and is so very gentle with all. We all look forward to seeing you in October!
