Peke A Tzu Rescue
Foster Journal

We thought all of you out there would like to see what happens here in our home so we decided we would pop in on occasion and let you know what we are doing. Some days it is just the same old routine, but other times we have a lot of excitement. We hope you enjoy hearing about our activities and seeing a few pictures. The majority of the time you will see us happy, healthy and well groomed, but there is a significant cost involved to get each of us to this point which can be viewed at Foster Vetting Costs..

Hey everyone, you'd best get here fast before Mom returns. Lots of goodies to be had. Della here is trying to get this darn drawer open and I need help. Tomatoes, kale and carrots are not for me, but I know there is cheese and sandwich meat in this drawer. You pupsters better get over here and get to it and do it for we do not get this opportunity often.

Hey Mom and Dad, thank you so much for building Elmo here his very own special lookout tower! OK, so I will have to admit this was made to cover up the propane lines coming out of the house to make sure none of we pupsters would be tempted to naw away, but this is perfect for me. You didn’t think I could jump this high did you? This is perfect to survey “my” kingdom although Jake wanted to know if I knew about a game called “King on the Mountain”. Looks like I may have a bit of competition!

September 3, 2011

Football season is upon us! Devas won the first row seat for the Michigan game today. Go Blue! We surely love our football. Our football pool will begin pretty soon and we have such a good time with that. Dad and Auntie Jamie are so competitive it is always fun to watch their picks. We are hoping Mom's loyalty to the Lions will be fruitful this year.

September 4, 2011

Ben here trying to get a little nappy in before the youngsters are out romping and playing. This old body isn't getting any younger you know. When I get tired I get tired so whatever happens to be handy for me to rest on is OK with me. Heck, who needs a pillow anyway? Just have to share with everyone else. This way I am left all alone which is what I prefer.

Well, here we are, Kori and Peace getting ready for our great adventure. We head to our new homes tomorrow. Mom said we will be taking a road trip and will have so much fun.

She told us we were going to be so happy and we can't wait to meet our Forever Home parents. We both are fresh and clean...frankly, baths are not one of our favorite things, but to humor Mom we decided to be good kids and act like we were enjoying ourselves. Well, time for the blow dryer and the final beauty treatments. Wish us luck!

September 6, 2011

Here we are on our way! Wow, has this ever been an adventure. Kori here is absolutely exhausted, but I know we are getting closer to my Forever Home. Whew, Florida is a long, long way from Michigan. Seems like we have been traveling forever. My Forever Mom and Dad are taking such good care of me though and they are spoiling me rotten! Can't wait until tomorrow because we all get to meet Peace's Forever Mom.

September 7, 2011

We certainly have been having a good time the past few days. We had a family get together and listened to Mom and her sisters and brothers reminisce. Boy, did they have some stories to tell! Auntie Debbie drove here to be with us and stayed at Auntie Judy's. Bright and early every morning we would run in and wake her up with our special kisses. She always woke up with a smile and snuggled us close. We will miss her when she goes home.

You know Becca is such a sweet little girl and we love her dearly. She cannot see and she thinks a bit differently than we do, but we sure enjoy her crazy antics. She grabs a toy and away she goes head held high. Just try to get it from her for she isn't into sharing. She fills our lives with joy with her crazy antics and lovable disposition.

September 9, 2011

Boy, are we liking Mom and Dad fixing our raw diet for us now. We get our choice of veggies and our supplements can be added to our food every day. The best part is when Dad allows us to lick out the container after he has emptied the food and placed in smaller containers for the freezer. You know, it is kind of like licking the frosting off a spoon when you are finished with the cake.

September 10, 2011

Boy, was this an exciting football day! Our favorite college team played today...the University of Michigan. First time they had a night game and Mom let us pupsters stay up to watch the whole game. We got a little bored early on, but did things pick up later in the game. What a nail biter this one was, but our team won out in the end! Wonder if Unkie Jeff had any bets placed on Notre Dame?

10 years ago today as everyone knows thousands of American lives were taken. Today was a day to remember all of those who lost their lives. We pupsters cuddled close together and watched as ceremonies unfolded before our eyes. We still cannot comprehend that there can be so much hatred in our world. It is so much easier to love than to hate. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families who lost their loved ones on this day 10 years ago.

Hey everyone, Rosanna checking in from her Forever Home. Arrived a short time ago and I have checked everything out. I love it already. My trip back home was a long one, but Mom and Dad were so good to me. This is one neat house I am here to tell you. I love my sister Roxy already. She is really cool and I think she likes me already. My Mom and Dad are so loving and I have been giving them lots of my sweet kisses. So, don't you worry about me because I know I have a wonderful future ahead of me. Kisses to all of you.
Love,
Rosanna

Whoa, Auntie Judy has been busy once again. Lots and lots of belly bands arrived today. Biscuit here is checking all of them out. Some pretty neat material here that I know the boys will really like. Actually I am a bit jealous. Think I'll sneak a few of these out and put aside for myself. If Precious can wear a neck brace styled after the belly bands there is no reason why I cannot use one once in awhile as a fashion statement.

September 19, 2011

OK, there is something wrong with this picture. Kori here in Florida enjoying the warm weather. I have been exploring my new home and when I came upon this gate I thought hey, what's the deal? I thought I had gotten away from a gated community and low and behold there is one here too! Oh well, guess I'll just make the best of it. Maybe someone will wander by and feel sorry for me when they see my soulful eyes peeking through the bars.

September 20, 2011

Hi everyone, the calendar contest is under way and this year there are so many contestants we pupsters cannot make up our minds who is our favorite. We all wanted to be in the calendar, but Mom says we get plenty of attention in the foster journal. Chantelle here is in love with Shemp...yeh, I know he is a bulldog, but wow, is he macho! Of course Andy and I had a thing going while he was here, but you just have to move on you know. Keep those votes coming. We can't wait to see who will be featured this year.

September 21, 2011

Hey, UPS Day!!! We love when that truck pulls in for we know there is always going to be some goodies. Auntie Elizabeth sent us some material and lots of grooming supplies...q tips, cotton balls, ear cleaner and more. Of course we pupsters weren't doing somersaults over the grooming essentials, but Mom sure was happy. Thank you so much Auntie Elizabeth. We pupsters are going to look beautiful and the boys will love the new belly bands!

September 22, 2011

What a boring, lazy day. It is raining out and so dreary. We have been trying to figure out what we are going to do today. Just laying around is not getting it. Wonder if Mom or Dad is up to a little ball or possibly a good game of fetch. We already checked out the TV, but with the pupster control in effect we can't watch anything really exciting. Guess we'll go hunt down Mom and Dad and get some action going here.

September 23, 2011

Well, pupster wrestler mania is underway once again. Shilo was on lookout for Mom as usual. Today Hannah and Nougat were in the ring and what a match they had! Nougat thought he had it won, but Hannah didn't stay down for the count. Actually the match ended up being a tie so none of us won our bets. Oh well, we'll just have to wait until the next match.

September 24, 2011

I have no idea what you may be talking about Mom. Della here was just minding my own business. I don't know why Candice came running to you saying I jumped on her back. Look at the size of me? Do you actually think I am capable of such a maneuver? I would never even consider acting in that manner...I love my sisters and brothers. Why do I have the feeling you don't believe me?

September 25, 2011

Geez, I wish the laundry would hurry up and get done. BJ's back is OK temporarily for a pillow, but my neck is getting a bit sore. You know Mom if you would talk to some of the pee pee perpetrators maybe it would save on a bit of laundry for you and we pupsters wouldn't have to go through this agony. I really think you need to get a bit tougher with the perps!

September 26, 2011

Sorry, but BJ here decided I wasn't a pillow! Now, we are without our beds. I am in total agreement that something needs to be done about this bed and pillow wetting situation. You need to really get down on these pupsters. Now you know BJ here would never consider using the house as my bathroom. I think you need to add a few more of the boys to the belly band list excluding me of course.

September 27, 2011

We pupsters think Elmo has a few screws loose. Every time there is an empty box available he jumps right in. Maybe he thinks he can go on a vacation via the US Postal Department. Heck, we don't know what gets into him sometimes. As you can tell by the look on his face you'd best not mess with his box!

September 28, 2011

Oh come on Sushi, quit playing so hard to get. Benny here is ready to wine and dine you. I even asked Mom if it was OK if we went for a little stroll together and she said it would be fine. I am really attracted to you. Just give me a chance to show you how much I truly care. Would it help if I shared my treats with you? Come on, just give me a little break here…I promise you won’t be sorry.

September 29, 2011

Hi Everyone. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Flutter and I am a beautiful Pomeranian. You won't see me in available for awhile because I am so afraid of everything. I have to have this thing called a lead on me at all times or Mom and Dad would never be able to catch me....I am frightened of them and all around me. They keep talking to me softly and tell me everything will be OK and I am really trying to believe them. I have been watching the other pupsters and they are so happy and trusting. I hope I will feel that way one day. Mom keeps telling me love conquers all....

September 30, 2011

What a great way to end our month! Auntie Carleen and Unkie Terry have an apple orchard and they sent us some of their wonderful apples. Boy, there isn't anything better than a fresh Michigan apple right off the tree. As you can see we all love apples and can't wait for Mom or Dad to cut some up for us. We would be happy to share with all of you, but we have a feeling they aren't going to last long! See you in October!!
